Not a done deal... RCH has options...

Is the N-FAB team coming back? Lots of riders making the main last year still without rides.

Bummer because Hill is a pretty amazing talent. Sucks though that he screwed his moto career doing some extracurricular activity.

As I understand it, the RCH crew are working to sign Josh while he's back here on a break from the Aussie series.

I hope they sign him . He had such a nice late season surge last year that it would be good to see him continue to carry that momentum.

Glad he was able to clarify the Pro-Circuit comments too. I remember when I read that other interview I cringed.

I would be pretty shocked if Josh didn't end up on the RCH team by the time Anaheim 1 rolls around.

Although, the only thing that I can think of that would potentially slow the negotiations down, is if they are talking to Davi Millsaps. I wonder if they [RCH] have plans to take their second rider outdoors in 2014? Obviously, that would be the natural progression for the team, and would surely help them in the future.

I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't sign him. He showed some speed last year, and I can only see him getting better as time goes on, so why wouldn't they?

I would say something is certainly up, his original plan was not to head back to the U.S.A during rounds of the Aussie series and spend the whole time in Aus and head back after the final round in Queensland on the 16th of November.

There was a change in plans though and he flew back straight after the Phillip Island round held on the weekend to do some "TESTING" though no conformation on who he was testing for or if it was one or more teams.

He has Consistently got quicker and quicker at each round while here in Australia.

I watched Saturday's race at Phillip Island, although through a camera lens and he was making a lot of passes on a hard to pass on dry track, a small mistake after a battle with Marmont meant he had to work he way through the front of the pack twice.

I missed Sunday's race, I had access to shoot MotoGP all weekend so was not passing that opportunity up especially with access to Canon Services and a choice of pretty much any lens and body I wanted to try!

Looking at the timing he had a 14 second lead with a lap to go, that is impressive.

IF he stays healthy between now and A1, think 2014 will be the year he his back to his best and we have all seen how fast that is.

Does Broc Tickle have a 2-year contract? If not, I don't understand the keep-Tickle-not-Hill way of thinking. Broc has shown how fast he is. I'm sure he's a good guy and all, but he's a mid pack guy at his best. He's shown that even on as close to a factory Suzuki as exits now...he's not a top-ten threat. On the other hand, Hill has shown amazing tenacity through what had to have been a horrible time. He has done nothing but improve since getting back on a bike, and is (as aaryn #234) said above, getting faster and faster down under. If his performance curve keeps on like it is, he'll be back to the blinding fast rider we saw a few years ago. I'm not huge gambler, but I'd put money on Hill without a doubt. I just wouldn't on Tickle.

Surely RCH has sense enough to not let Hill get away.

What rider can they sign for the same amount of money and get the same amount/more publicity as Hill?
Something tells me they re-sign him.

Hill has made a pretty remarkable comeback, and seems to be grateful to RCH for their help. I think RCH should sign him.

They let Hills mechanic go and were trying for Reed, Then Roczen, possibly Millsaps? From what I've heard if they don't get a podium guy soon there at risk of loosing their Dodge sponsership and in a world of hurt? Just saying that's the inside word I've gotten from one of their employees.

From the tidbits I've been told, they took their best shot at some of the riders you mentioned, and came up short. It'll be Tickle and likely Hill again.

Take a run through the Bikes of the Monster Energy Cup article, and stare at the RCH bike pictured for a while.

For everyone bashing tickle he was the first rider in the teams history to ride a full season without injury and top 10 in points for supercross and outdoors. For the stacked class on the gate I'm sure that is all that team is asking out of him to be consistently there and scoring points and making main events in supercross.

Dodge is still onboard...but seeing the sticker is on the swingarm and not prominent like on the radiator shrouds it looks like they are suddenly a minor instead of a major sponsor. Who is "Soaring Eagle"? Is that an Indian tribe name? That must be where the BIG money is coming from anyway.

Go to the Friday 10/18/13 gallery on Racer-X . It shows a pic of Tickles bike at the Monster Cup.
Dodge logo is still the main one on the shrouds and his jersey.

Wrong, Gibby...anybody that hawks on my internet activity and brown noses the NSA with information is not my friend.

I figured it was either an indian tribe-owned casino or something along that line.

If I had to guess...

Ricky, Carey and Kenny have been "shaking the tree to see what will fall out". The silly-season can get kinda interesting and a smart "organization" might just want to see what all of their options are; and, where-as some folks might think they're changing their minds or something? Nope. Again, just being smart and running a business. Has it really "hurt" anything to take their time to see how Josh did in Oz? Did it "hurt" to take a stab at Chad? Who knows? Maybe they did a little "shopping around" to see what all their options are?

That Team has consistently improved & progressed. As others have noted: They took a 1st year program and ran up there with Teams that have been doing it for a lot longer and with equipment that they've had "history" with (You know, pretty much ALL the other Teams were on bikes that they've been on for SEVERAL YEARS and have Direct OEM support during all those years: That's a HUGE advantage). RCH went out on Zooks and spent a good part of the year figuring their bikes out...well...Broc did. When we sit behind our keyboards and make our analogies about him...let's take a few moments to realize that he really didn't feel "comfortable" on the bike until he was well into the Nationals.

Still, it looks like they're getting the Band Back Together...and...guess what? I'd accuse them of "Being Loyal"...almost to a fault. Hart can be "All Business"; but, he takes his crew to Heart...pun intended. Same goes for RC. Kenny? Shit. You guys wouldn't believe the things he's done to help people. All sorts of people. All sorts of VERY important ways...and for very good reasons...too.

RCH is a Team of Good People. Good things are Gonna come their way.

Am I the only one who is wondering why a guy like hill or Hanson continue to get these rides while solid riders like short ( though bto did step up their game with support from ktm) or Peick continue to get over looked? Hill is third best in the Aussie sx series and lucked up due to Matt Moses's bad luck and Weston getting hurt.

Bobby I am right there with you. I hate SX only riders. I will always question the work ethic of SX only guys. Completing a 15 minute SX main vs. 2- 35 minute motos in hot humid weather isn't even close. Not to mention having all summer off and not competing hurts you against the other riders that are racing all summer. Stewart just mentioned this in his interview that his SX only deal hurt him a lot. Sure Hill had some good rides last year but i think it has been overhyped a bit. He won his heat in MN over Reed who was obviously not himself. He got a top three start in the Main and faded big time. Sure if he is healthy all next year he has a chance to be top 10. People are expecting him to challenge for wins or even podiums. With this field there is no chance in hell that will happen. And for Hanny he is doing exactly what I thought he should be doing, FMX.

Exactly, hill is a cool guy but he held a ride only because of his name for three years.

You assume josh wanted a sx only deal though . Last thing I saw is he wanted to race outdoors but couldnt get anyone to give him a ride . I think he works a lot harder than you guys think and it can't be easy with the injuries he's had .

I don't think there is anything special about "his name" other than the fact that it represents tremendous speed when healthy.
