Wow.

Talk about "Going Backwards" or "Not getting it" or "You're DOING IT WRONG!"...

It's October, 14, 2013. I've got a bike out in the back of my truck that's Brand New, Box Stock... down to the grips and chain!, was $7200 Out the door with California's Ridonkulous fees...

And is CLOSER than Production Motorcycles have EVER BEEN to The Factory Bikes. (Exception: 2006 KX450F...?)

But, why bother with REALITY?

Tell ya what? You Morans stay here and accuse DC, talk shit, get all flustered...knock yourselves out.

I'm going to Milestone. There's a few Ti and Carbon parts that need "Testing". That bike ain't gonna be That Stock in about 2 hours...

I'm jus' laffin' at'cha...

Burn was way out of line, people can discuss without that kind of stuff. I appreciate that DC continues to engage in the conversation. That alone lets me know he is still cares and he shouldn't have to put up with stuff like that or he will move on.

So would a 125 intermission be to hard to pull off? Its not like any 125's are having a go at the 250f's on a frequent basis. It would also be a nice transition back to a 125, 250, open class format at the national level for when those ground up changes become overwhelming.

Obviously, some, me including have to bite the sour apple and accept we will not get what we want, period. Just wish to see 125 smokers being ridden by the best, and these two stroke events are not enough to fill my needs. I was pissing my pants in excitement watching DeCotis ripping the CR125 in the recent Dep Two Stroke challenge. I guess one way to go is to attract more spectators, bring in bigger names and increase the price bonuses. Add some people standing with cameras shooting the shit so I can see it on the other side of the pound (which happened this time). Cant remember much of the LL only two stroke class, not many vids appeared? Add some KTM promos with Herlings and crew taking demo bikes out for fun. For the time being, I will use that for my addiction...

Hopefully the new EMX 300 class in Europe will be a success. That could be the new beginning, or at least I wish for it...

Over and out.

How can you not remember the Loretta's 2-stroke class when it was won by the Vital and media darling Jerry Robin?

Remember the buzz, great story, but the vids showing his race and the win was newer present? Just some bits? Maybe I missed it...

The change has to come from the market at this point. KTM, TM and Husky didn't start making 300's to race EMX300 class, YS created that class because the market came around to support those bikes. And then even though they already were eligible for MX3 (which I guess calls into question whether a rule change here to allow 300s in the 450 class would make much difference).

We have been told by the jokers on here it more of a "Gordian Knot" and if 2 strokes were given equal displacement it would be the end of all things Pro Motocross............................. True story.

Of the 2 stroke fans that post here, who actually attends pro races, and 2 stroke events? Or do you just complain on the internet? And how many have bought a new 2 stroke within the last 2 years? Buying used Craigslist bike really will not help honda, kawy, suzuki start producing smokers. And the old saying goes if you do not like the game, do not play or start your own game., meaning how about the 2 stroke dudes speak with their money and start their own series. The way you talk the fans will be flocking to the races and the shops the buy all the 2 strokes up. Then maybe the same old threads will stop. I love both bikes, ride what you want. Simple

Fewer people think like you as time continues to pass. I hope you see that by now. The "a few lone nuts" line some people on here keep using as their default when referring to people who want to see this rule change becomes more and more comical by the day. Have fun at Milestone.

So was I with my almost new looking 06 RM250, im pretty sure we saw each other. I just dialed my forks in by dropping down to 315cc's (350cc's is stock) and it felt like a completely different bike, actually took me all day to get used to it but dam what a great day to FINALLY have that bike behave like a normal motorcycle .....Thought I had a revalve done lol

Cant wait to get back out and ride it again, I felt like my old self

I don't understand why DC is so worried about the OEM's pulling out. If Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki want to pull out then let them. There are other manufactures who would love to take their place that sell both four and two stroke. KTM and Yamaha already do. I'm sure GasGas, TM, Beta etc. would love to take over the American market should they pull out. They would be able to invest more into R&D knowing that bike sales would pick up.
People will always be buying dirt bikes no matter what. The guys who only buy from the three that don't make two strokes would adapt and I'm sure they would be fine doing so knowing its only for the betterment of the sport.

I'm excited about the new 300 class too. Hopefully KTM/Husky and TM (and others?) will get some good riders to campaign them. The ability to compare their race times to the four strokes could be interesting assuming they run the same weekends and tracks as the GP's, not a separate schedule like the MX3 class did.

Shouldn't the comparable lap times already exist? The 300's were eligible for MX3, and the four bangers were pretty much 450's at this point in MX3, right? Someone from Europe can check in here, but week to week how many guys were running 300 two strokes in MX3 against the 450's there?

I think it's great they did away with MX3 (which was a bit pointless) and went to this, but ~ shocker ~ it's a marketing opportunity for the oem's that make 300's. It's pretty reasonable to think that if the 300's were better than the 450's they would already have replaced them. It'll be interesting to see whether they can attract some of the top talent.

I hope Joe is right in his tea leaf reading and that we'll see some more smoker variety in 14.5

I believe the 300 could have been ridden in MX3 but with the little research I did I don't think anyone was running one. The MX3 class raced a separate schedule from MX1 and MX2 and even different tracks I believe.

It appears the Euro manufacturers have brought some focus to this new class with the bikes displayed at the MXdN. Hopefully they'll support it well and contract some good riders. I think if any progress is to be made in reestablishing two stroke racing in a professional venue it's falling on their shoulders to do it. They are the manufacturers that still seem motivated to design and build them and will benefit from the results.

Be cool to see them bring a round to the US along with a GP. Might give some of us to give kudos to Youthstream for the effort. I would and would attend if at all possible.

A: I'd like to order lunch please.
B: Ok. We've got shit tacos or vomit milkshakes. What'd ya like?
A: Uh, can I get actual food?
B: Both are digestible and enriched!
A: Yeah, but can't I get a sandwich or a burger?
B: (Suspicious look) You from Europe? We only got shit tacos or vomit milkshakes here. They've been flavored! Damned tasty.
A: Um... I think I'll go elsewhere.
B: Okay, but it's all the same out there.

Headline: Shit tacos most popular food! Vomit milkshakes a close second.
