Thanks man!
I love me some goat trails.....

I hate to be the bearer of good news while we are mourning the MXDN, but here's clips from day 2 of our trip. Pretty cool stuff if you're into trail riding.

hell yeah, great videos.

i have some more cool video to post, i'll try to get to it this week.

also, what mount system are you using for your GoPro? mine is on top of my helmet, but i want to be able to see the hands/fender and still be able to see up the trail in the videos

The gopro is mounted to my chin bar. I dont like mounting them to the top... the view isn't very good and it takes too much abuse from low hanging branches.

have any pics of the mount you can share? i've seen some interesting ones.

i would try a chest-mount but i'm way too much of a ride over the front being tall like i am, it just films my cross-bar pad and gas-cap.

Sure do...

What i did was trim the display mount (the one the camera came attached to in the original packaging) down to a manageable size, drilled a hole in all 4 corners and then zip-tied it around the mouthpiece. It's totally solid and I have no worries about losing the cam. The zip-ties will eventually start to stretch & loosen, but they're cheap & easy to replace.

The only hard part is getting the right angle. My angle was a little too low in that last vid I posted. I like the angle of this mounting position much more than on top of the lid or the chest mount.

Peelout, you can mount it upside under the visor if it's pretty flat. I cut my visor just enough to allow me room to use a big cotter-pin to secure my GoPro. If didn't disrupt any of my vision and worked great, up until I bought a Shoei...the VFX-W visor isn't flat at all and I haven't found a way to mount it under the visor, yet.

that's my problem, i run a Shoei and did a dry fit of the method you mentioned and i can't seem to figure out how to get it to fit properly. i'm a taller rider and lean clear over the front of my bike so i know the chesty won't work, maybe on the side of my helmet or on the mouth piece like shown earlier. i think on the mouthpiece would be looking at the ground as well, because like i said i lean clear over the front when standing

It's a little archaic but it worked well.

Here's a vid of it:

there's a little goat trail up another peak that i haven't quite grown the berries to do. i've looked at it a couple times and walked the first little bit, it's steep and narrow... when i tackle it though, i'll be sure to get it on camera. (one mistake and it's a LONG way down)

Man, that is KTM territory. That bike is almost an unfair advantage. Dang, that looks dangerous, but fun as he--!

First attempt at uploading a video, hopefully it works.

Just some riding earlier this year at my favorite trails area. There are a few small road jumps in there too.

Here's a vid of it:

MIlford Lake, Junction City KS? one of my favorite places to ride. TONS of great trails! Been out there 100 times - when camping right next to the lake was legal. Good times.

Yeah that's the place. I've camped there too, and it's was always windy when we went.

That has got to be one of the coolest trails I have ever seen Peelout. I ride trails a lot, but I have never seen anything as scenic as that, killer video. By the way, I'm 485Josh on youtube.

Those are some cool videos! Here is an old pic at about 13,000 feet.

Spent a few days at Taylor park some of it was great and some was just way to much work (riding over VW size boulders for about a quarter mile) for me at that altitude.
Overall a great trip.

WOW! I just have 3 things to say:

1. PLEASE stop looking off the sides of that mountain! lol

2. You are a damn good rider.

3. Take me with you! I'll be driving through on the 25th and can stay for a day or so. It's either there or Moab for me.

Moab is killer, but only if you know the trails or someone to take you. you can get into some real big trouble real quick down there. i sent you a PM about doing some riding when you're passing through. just let me know Brah

Sick vids and pictures, keep them coming... peelout, at about the 4 minute mark of your video, (on the switchbacks), my Sphincter leaked a little, and PC's vid at around 1:15 caused some leakage too...Shocked Laughing
