In Michigan we are battling sound issue at a couple well known tracks.. dont really agree with this.
When asked about the new T-6 and Ti-6 exhaust systems, owner Mitch Payton said, "We tried to focus
on improving the power for each model where we thought it showed weak points," Mitch proceeded with,
"We've noticed over the past year that the majority of our customers preferred a shorter muffler and the
sound to be louder. With these new exhausts, we tried to accommodate those riders."
Although the T-6 and Ti-6 will not pass FIM sound requirements seen in professional racing here in the
states or in Europe, they are still the ideal exhaust systems for any off-road or closed course racer
looking for an increase in performance.

Pro Circuit is not the Police, if sound is an issue at your local track they should sound test everyone and make them comply.

4-strokes are entirely too loud though. 4-strokes sound WILL kill riding areas and tracks, just give it time
Some of these people are bonafide Vitards. Get over your loud bike obsession.. your 450 makes plenty of HP without you needing to alert the entire county that you came up a little short.
I help run a private track in michigan and we too have lost alot of riding days due to noise. We used to be able to ride about 22 rides a year, after going to court with neighbors, we are now down to 5 ride days a year
The track has been there since the early 70's
I still have my 250f although it's blown up, but I now ride my 125 and with that, you can not hear me in the back section of the track whereas my 4stroker could easily be heard.
I plan on getting our group together for a little pow wow about possibly buying a shitload of DB Dawgs and make it manditory that they use them, they could get their own or if they don't have one, I'll sell them one for 50 bucks. Either that or they can join a different club. Time to get tough on noise, I consider my (our) track a goldmine and want to keep using it without worries
Just imagine if electric Motocross becomes the norm, IMAGINE watching that on tv!! coming out of a huge berm and......NOTHING
also, as a rider, you use your ears to judge where you are in rpm's to know when to upshift etc. HOW the hell do you do this with electric bikes??
sorry to go off on one but it just made me think thats all.
i bet 99.9% of cities/towns get more thunderstoms per year than Motocross events, but hey! thats an act of god, cant complain about that noise.

Probably reading to much into it, and racing will probably sort it self out, but this loud approach is just plain retarded, how the fuck can it be supported? Free market? Loud bikes should be illegal, just because there's a demand for destructive items, we shouldn't wait for a law to reduce supplies.
Support Acropovic "sounds" better in my ears.
PC makes FIM/AMA & even USFS compliant systems.
Some riders, as Mitch commented, want something different.

thunderstorms? thats the weakest shit ive ever heard. to keep with the "thinking" theme, 99.9% of those places dont have thunderstorms that go off from 8am to 5pm, 5 days a week either
motocross isnt about hearing the grunt of a bike at full throttle, if it was you'd never leave the house as you can accomplish that by revving it for hours on end on a stand, then you can buy the PC pipe to make it even louder on the stand LOL
shifting an electric bike would be difficult, considering the current KTM offering doesnt have multiple gears.

if you skip to 4:45 they talk about how direct drive forces you to gear for top speed or acceleration...on offroad bikes there would be no reason to gear for top speed, so direct drive/no shifting it is...
