Custom paint work - as good of quality if not better than TLD!!!

Edited Date/Time 11/4/2013 5:10pm
Have you ever wanted a custom painted helmet by the big names (TLD, AP Designs, etc.) and just can't afford it? Call us!! Anything you want, any helmet, your name, graphics, whatever, much cheaper than those guys! Not putting any of those companies down at all. Great and reputable stuff comes from them. But it's hard to afford some stuff now a days with the state Obama has put us in. Just give us a call!

Rooney's Body Shop/RBS Designs
(662) 423-2459 business
(662) 660-3569 cell

I can send pictures of past restoration of muscle cars and custom paint work on drag cars and local helmets. Thanks guys!

How much paint do you use on your helmets?
9/13/2013 8:04am
It really depends on what designs go on it. Usually 2-3 coats if it's mostly a solid color and plenty of clear. A buddy of mine still has his helmet we painted and it looks just as good as it did when we painted it. He doesn't use it anymore because he outgrew it.

Thank God this isn't spam.

Haha no sir. No spam. The cell number is mine. If you get a candy color or one that changes say from red to gold, they'll be higher because that paint is pretty high. But hey just give us a call and we can answer your questions!

Great news that you can give affordable prices.....but some words of advice....I'd change your thread title before you get verbally assaulted. Kind of a bold claim....claiming "as good of quality if not better than TLD!!!"

Just sayin'.......

the top guys use a gallon and a half per lid.... that's an extra 10 lbs or more, great for the neck muscles....
9/13/2013 9:32am
It doesn't add weight at all. We an even do pinstriping an airbrushing. Here are some photos of my personal truck. When I get back to the shop I'll post some more!

That's entirely too much paint. Tony has been to every too notch PPG school. We have had drag cars win best of shows and nationally features in multiple drag racing magazines. Same quality goes into helmets. Bold statement but send a helmet to us and see the quality!

When I get back to our shop there will be more photos. I understand the "bold statement" stuff. But you'll never see until you give it a chance. I'm not here to knock down TLD. They're a great company. They've set a very high standard and we respect them. But you never know until you give an honest shot

She's a beaut. Did you paint that helmet on canvas or is it just high end paper?

Adam,

Can you tell us how much a painted helmet might run and what the Vital user discount is?
9/13/2013 11:00am
A good paint job without lettering around 300-400. Lettering would be higher depending on what exactly you wanted. All in all around 500-600 depending on what all goes on it and what paint is used. That's graphics and name/number. We can even leave the helmet company logo. You can send us a simple sketch or just say what you want on it. We can send you back a proof or drawing of what it would look like and then go from there. If you wanted a paint that changed from red to gold like a House of Kolor paint, those would make the price go up. We can even put in prismitique and pearl colors. Ghost flames. What ever you want on it.

I don't wanna get a political thing going. We are all entitled to our own opinion on it. Like I said. Just call us. I'm going to post more pictures when I get back to the shop.

So far I've seen a claim of being as good as...but no pics.

Paint is one thing. Design is another. The paint looks good on your truck, but I wouldn't want to see flames and checkers combined like that in just about anything. My .02.

Ive read some dumb shit on here but im sorry bro, this statement might take the cake, "as good of quality if not better than TLD!!!"

Great way to start to try and get your name out there Blink

Obviously marketing is not your strong point.

...and then to post that pic of your truck...oh my!! Dizzy

LOL. I am just kidding Scottie. It isn't like I wanted a "busy" helmet design like that but I wanted something a little different than usual in the graphics dept. Soooooo..... maybe I went off the deep end just a bit?
