This is surprising, 1. that Red Bull/Rockstar are ok with this 2. Gonna be a lot of orange in 450SX

Look at some top 10 in Orange

1. Dunge
2. MIllsaps
3. Roczen
4. Short
5. Goerke (possibly)
6. Byrne (possibly)

Thats 4 in the top 10 for sure anyway.

So much for no other energy drink sponsoring KTM
I was just thinking... There is the Rockstar Bud Racing Kawasaki Team in Europe... So i guess even though the bike brand has huge ties to an energy drink company they can put it on whatever they want.

Dammit...I don't think Davi should have changed anything but his leg. Now he has one more thing to get used to. All the bikes are good, but they all favor different riders and styles. That Suzuki sure worked well with Davi...let's hope the KTM does also.
This....

The suzi seemingly has been the bike to be on for a long time now... Started with rc, then reed, then dungey, then davi.... Lets hope leaving the suzi doesn't have the same effect on davi as it has had with some of the other riders..

Its amazing how much Dungey has done to change the view people have of KTM on the American moto scene. A few years ago people would have been wishing Davi well as he crashed his way into retirement on the pumpkin of doom. Glad to see they turned the image around from the Langston, MC days. Best of luck to Davi. Im nervous about the switch only because that Zook fit him like a glove, but talent is talent.
i did nothing but talk shit on KTM dirt bikes until i bought my 300. best bike on the market imo.

awesome move for Davi. hopefully the factory will share the development and settings with the Rockstar team.

ps... what's with the Makita logo's? that's a new sponsor it seems

[edit] thanks GrapeApe, guess i've missed that logo all seson. wonder how the fuck i managed

What's the deal with Sipes? He's had some great rides this year, I don't see why they wouldn't want him back.

Strange seeing Davey on KTM for sure, I guess the yellow gear doesn't help. Hopefully he can get as comfortable/confident on it as he was on the zook.

This is not to say its a done deal correct? I haven't seen a press realease. He could be testing to see if its a good combo. I believe he has an "opt out" clause in his contract if Rockstar changes manufacturers.
Does anyone know?
Done.

I am curious about the level of support from KTM. The PR says they are part of the Factory Services program which allows them to purchase factory motors and suspension, and I don't see any KTM branding on the bike other than the motor that was purchased. Are they still just a privateer team funded by Rockstar, but with access (on their own dime) to factory-level equipment?

hate when riders find a bike that suits them so much , then cause of money , support they have to change brands , i honestly think the KTM will hurt davi s speed , and still to this day think dungey looked better on the suzuki , than he ever has on the ktm , i know his won and done great on the ktm , just think he d be closer to villo on the suzuki

so now davi is on a dungey replica.....trying to beat dungey......aww the horror...LOLO...HaHaHa.....
one day soon, there will only be only a cpl brands left in racing...much like nascar........
that will be a sad sad time for mx.....
but mxa is getting their way...about how mx should be more like nascar.....
races inside nascar tracks...
bike numbers owned by the teams..
riders can be swirched at any time...cause its the team that wins the championship...
and only one hop up shop...
next mxa will fold up like a zundapp powered 3 wheeler trying an uphill tripple.....

Good for KTM. Looks like Davi dwarfs that bike though! Glad to see Makita back in the game as well.
He and Dungey are the same size/height maybe give or take an inch in height
Stood next to both of them (not Davi recently) and Saps is much bigger, at least it seemed that way.

According to Matthes (post MXDN in France), Dungey couldn't wait to get off of the Suzuki.

Even though I own a KTM, I liked DM18 being on a Suzuki. I guess you have to do what you have to do sometimes.

Thanks for posting it up here Steve.

Here's another quick shot that Davi was pretty pumped on...

I will have a full gallery up soon.

KTM suddenly has 5 guys capable of top 10 finishes and 2 of winning. This might be considered a hostile takeover. I'm sure the new Husky effort will spawn a US based team in the near future as well since it's going to be MX centered.

But this also confirms 2 rumors at once. Rockstar is going KTM and Davi is staying.
Like i said, KTM is the new Honda. Dry

Another step closer to the coming KTM takeover. Happy for Rockstar. Hope everything goes as well as it did last SX season!
