Any ideas how to get a lock nut off? It's spinning on the bottom shock bolt on the linkage,it's almost on all the way,but it's just spinning in place now, won't come off or tighten,it's brand new, just tearing it down to grease. Any suggestions?thanks guys
If not, you can try to wedge a flat-bladed screw driver behind the nut to hold pressure against it while backing it off.
I would try this.

Cut almost all the way through the nut, and then break it apart with some leverage.
Try the screw driver behind the nut method.Or
Drill as mention before or cut it off if there is room to do so.
Good luck.
However with it being a new bike you probably would like to avoid setting something on fire.

besides, a nylock nut doesn't have nylon threads it just has a nylon collar attached to grip the bolt.
You just whack on the end of the bolt and what happens? It just breaks off? Without bending or galling the linkage?
