I need sponsorship dollars to help me get to amateur day too. Can anybody send me money? I plan in heading to Hagar City as well, so please send enough for beer and 'entertainment'.

My hobby is expensive and you all should help pay for it.

Where does this sense of entitlement come from?

Are you saying "cunt" as in...I take a beating and keep coming back as strong as ever? Typically when people start calling names, it's like an admission to already being outwitted or feeling inadequate. Which one is this?

And, are you sending me any freaking money or not? I've got a big weekend planned and single moms to support.

Providing a service, isn't asking for a handout. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you. I'm sure you and your type would be the ones that would jump the fence and try and watch for free....

And additionally, I haven't asked for sponsorship since the second year. Businesses come to me, wanting to advertise. This includes a National auto parts chain.... But again, you wouldn't know anything about building something that gives back to the privateers....

My gas tank is almost empty and my house payment is due in three days. For me to be able to continue racing in the back of the pack in the C class I am going to need some money. Private message me your bank account numbers and I'll decide how much I need. K Thanks Bye

I'm sure even you can see a difference of my providing a service, than if I got on here and said "fuel, flaggers, banners, trophies, and other costs are expensive, here is my number, I need sponsors".

However, you're a proven liar that makes up "facts" to prove his incorrect stories, so I don't expect you to admit you're wrong....not does anybody else.

So this young man is trying to race a stock KTM 250F? And also has to register? Does that mean he doesn't have a pro license yet? He is looking for assistance but doesn't offer any type of information on his racing, does he qualify for a pro license. This doesn't sound like he has thought this out very much.

Kinda funny, but not different than a person coming on here wanting donations or help because there bike got stolen and they did not have insurance? I think Gibson and browning were looking for donations for there bike/van fire. I would think insurance would cover that.so what's the donation and silent auction for at the local mx track for? Mx is expensive either work more or get a new hobby. The economy sucks, its almost a slap in the face to come out and ask for money for a hobby or being irresponsible.

Maybe the pro class has come to this....look at the last reply on the bottom too. I don't have a stance on this one way or the other, just found this interesting.

Yea Newmann. Runs better. Honestly. Joey switched to the 450F for the 2nd half of the series and its a stock bike with just suspension and pipe. Use the lower grade Renegade SX4 for it for racing. Pump gas at home (its both his "race" and practice bike)

I don't see what's wrong with asking...he said "call or text me if you would LIKE to help out." If you want to help him out then do it, if not then don't help. He wasn't rude about it or anything and I'm sure most of you know this isn't a cheap sport...

For the record Jeff and Willy neither one ask for anything from anyone. The auction and any donations that are given were started by the track to help the riders out. I don't know the details of what is going on with their situation at all but I do know that there was full coverage on the van. I am pretty SURE that will not include the thousands of dollars that were inside the van nor how the bikes will be covered being inside the van. BUT I do know that Jeff and Willy neither one ASK for anything from the moto community!

Poor approach.

I bet a lot of local racers could get some type of "sponsorship" if they knew the right approach. People need to think outside the box.

Not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure this is sarcasm in agreement with your sentiment.

Point being. Insurance should cover most except deductibles.and either a renters policy and motorcycle police will cover bikes and vans contents covered by renters or homeowners insurance. Sucks either way that's why insurance is good to have. I have vehicle and bike insurance.health etc. And I have had plenty of stuff not covered by some insurance policies and I paid the deductible and if not they set up a payment plan. I am pretty sure anyone has a $8000 investment has insurance and a job to pay what's not covered. That's why I was confused on the donation part. Sorry to hijack the thread but cannot blame the kid for asking getting results will get you sponsors and if not there is always the option of working overtime or get a 2nd job.

He is looking for assistance but doesn't offer any type of information on his racing, does he qualify for a pro license. This doesn't sound like he has thought this out very much.

Dude , he will mark out of the novice class this week and then he will be ready to go PRO. All he needs is a few $$ and he will be the next big thing, just ask his dad.

He means registering for the race. Millville's cut-off for pre-register is tomorrow. He would have had to apply for his PRO license at least 4 weeks prior to the event.
Nothing wrong with asking, seems like a local kid and may just get a few offers for help from people he knows. Racing was started with guys (and girls) love of the sport, not if you could afford it or not.The choice is to either help or don't. Can't knock the kid for trying Smile

I've thought about mounting a little campaign to get some sponsorship help before. The way this guy went about it would not be the way I would go about it. I suppose that's the trade off tho, speed for brains lol
