Well that would suck for me. At 57 years old I would have to race factory supported ex champs because I scored points in the one and only national I did in 1984.

Plenty of classes anyone who scored a pro point cannot enter. This argument is silly. Once a pro doesn't mean always a pro. I race the Expert (Cat 1) MTB class and race previous pros at every event. A couple I am very much outclassed by, but they are old enough to race my class now and not right for them to have race current pros either. It only makes me better.
