So RV's pass on Dungey was "controversial"?

Edited Date/Time 6/13/2013 1:34pm
Says Jason Weigant on Racer X video. I know Dungey didn't like it but I didn't see the controversy. I saw RV take his line. Is that not fair racing?

Dunge said it was just racing. Tight, but just racing.

It was a little wild but that`s expected. Friese`s style.

It was a pass that forced RD to let off or risk crashing both of them, not a "clean" pass but RD didn't complain. He did say he would remember it though, I expect to see RD dish out the same when it comes down to it.

lol yeah right. Vanilla Dunge follows riders infront until they stuff up then thanks his sponsors at the end, no different for next round.

RV demands the position, similar to RC.

RV wants it bad. That's why he is leading the championship.

All Dungey needs to remember is to not leave the door open like that.

Clean pass in my opinion but, it is laughable if anyone believes that Dungey is going to start riding aggressive. He knows you don't piss off a honey badger!

Your point Kryan? That was an accident, Dungey apologized afterwards! RV rides aggressive every second he is on the track, and Dungey has ridden aggressive maybe 5 times in his whole career. I will go with the odds bro.

RV should have gave him a little smack upside the back of his helmet as he went by....

Now that would've been controversial! Silly

That pass was motocross all the way.

Dungey was more likely just upset by the fact he got passed during a weekend he seemed to be letting it all hang out. If he had passed RV back and won the moto, I doubt he would have been bothered much by it. He even said it was "just racing" after he made the comment, so it's no big deal. People generally have intuitive reactions first and then rationalize or come up with a reason why second, not the other way around.

That was a great friggin' pass!

RD's comment about " I'll remember that"........I think was more geared towards " I shouldn't have left the door open like that ". I also think that if the roles were reversed and RD had to make a pass like that...he would in a heart beat.

so does RV still look nervous?

anyone who thinks that pass was anything but clean needs to get their fat ass back in the kitchen and finish the god-damn sandwich they were making before the broadcast came on.

i agree with your first comment, not leave the door open again. that's what i thought Dungey was talking about on the podium.

but not leaving the door open isn't going to keep RV behind you. he is far from a dirty rider and will blow by like you're standing still, that's probably what pissed RD off the most. he got passed and ditched.

this thing is far from over

^^^X2^^^

Dungey knows what to expect of aggressive riders like Villopoto and Barcia. This isn't a game of respect, it's a game for a championship worth a lot of money. If it were anybody but RD that said he's remember it, I'd look for them to do the same to RV first chance that came up. With RD...he'll never get close enough and will never be agressive enough.

Agreed. I thought it kind of sounded like Dungey was a bit butt hurt about the aggressive pass and was going to remember that for when he has the opportunity to do it back to him. That's what I was referring to, that he needs to let it go and focus on how to protect the inside better next time. It is very admirable of Dungey to be the cleanest rider on the track but it would be nice to see him force the issue like RV does sometimes. If he doesn't get into RV's head then nothing is going to change.

Dungey needs to learn to protect his friggin lines and bang some handlebars/put up some fight, put some doubt into RV's head when he comes riding up behind him.
