Everyone keeps saying "wait till Dungey gets going", as if Poto isn't going to get any better. This thing is over, barring any Poto injury. There is absolutely 0% chance of anyone but Poto winning the C-ship if he rides every round. As for 24-0? Im not quite sure, but he will win 20 motos at least. I'm going on record that he has it wrapped up by Millville

I don't think RV will go 24-0, but I don't think Dungey will win it in the end. He's a great rider, but not a great racer. He lacks what Villipoto has that makes him the champion that he is. Call it whatever you want. Dungey needs some fire in his ass, but never seems to come up with it. If they both stay healthy, Villipoto wins it it. Dungey doesn't have a chance.

Unless I'm wrong, and I could be, the racing was close in '11 until Unadilla, when Villo got off of the 2011 chassis that didn't turn, and got on the '12 chassis. I think he's been killing it ever since.

RV could Definitely go 24-0 against the field in 2008, but this year is way too stacked.

Who's going to beat him? If he stays out of trouble I bet he wins every round.

I agree. If anyone beats him it'll be Dungey.

yep I got a $50 thats says he will go 24/0
he's just warming up at the moment, if he stays healthy I cant see anyone getting near him
unless JS can find his old form may as well hand the trophy to RV
he reminded me very much of RC last race with the aggression he showed, he even looks faster than the others on TV

He's bound to have a bad moto. And I'm not betting against Dungey at millville or washougal, and Stewart or barcia at Southwick.

Dungey is the only rider willing to match RV's speed. Barcia has to run better lines and get aggressive with himself. If Alessi gets some factory support he would be running with Barcia's full factory machine. Canard will improve as the season progresses. Stewart is proving that consistency in this stacked group of 450f riders is the way to the Championship. My prediction is that RV will go 24-0.

As an RV fan, I think his style lends itself to dominating in championships but not so much perfect seasons. 24-0 takes a lot of things that are out of his control going perfectly. What if an engine blows up? What if someone crashes directly in front of him and takes him out for that race?

A dominating season seems very likely (we are seeing that already) but 24-0 seasons are rare for a reason.

how quickly people forget...just last year, first 4 motos, only it was Stewart out front, first round beat Dungey by a bit, 2nd round Dungey finishes even closer, 3rd round Stewart wadded up and Dungey dominates the rest of the series. This weekend should be interesting to say the least.

Basically, what the other riders are counting on is a mistake by RV, but they're just as likely to have a mistake also. One mistake by James or Dungey and RV simply has to ride at 90% the rest of the series and cruise to the Championship. RV is in a good place right now, He's dialed and in great physical shape, Bike's dialed and he's confident and knows he's the baddest Man on the Planet riding a Motocross bike and surrounded by a solid team and great trainer and I'm sure Kristen is taking care of business also. Hard combo to beat

I don't know if he'll go 24-0 but he's riding with confidence, focus and aggression right now. There doesn't seem to be a lot of pressure on him and he just keeps trying to go faster, despite having a chance to rest on his laurels.

Simply not gonna happen...

Here is why:

1) 1 crash could ruin his perfect season
2) A bad start (outside top 15) and his competition gets a good start = a loss
3) Stewart is looking better each ride. He looked pretty good Moto 2 at Thunder Valley
4) Dungey was closer to him this week than Hangtown
5) MIllville and Washougal are Dungey's tracks
6) Barcia hauls at Southwick, so do Dungey and Stewart
7) Barcia's starts, I can see Barcia being the first to win other than RV because of his starts and speed

I'd be willing to bet RV doesnt go 24-0 nor will he win all 12 overalls. I am also confident that Dungey, Stewart and Barcia will each win at least a moto.

I saw this post on Saturday between motos when I finally got internet out in the sticks. You would think RV had won by 40 seconds each moto with a thread like this. Dungey was CLOSE both motos.

He is the fastest, but no way he goes 24-0. When RC and 7 did that there wasn't as much competition. I'm not saying he isn't capable, but too many things can happen and it won't happen. Stamp it. I will bet he even gets beat straight up at Southwick this year.

RV looks just like he did against Townley on the 250f. Some of the best racing/riding I have ever seen. Jumping into the corners, feet on the pegs pinned. Leaned over putting some torque on the 450 wfo again today. Yep that's it, the real shit.
