He said it on the show? No one has dared to asked, but him spontaneously saying so must be a good indication? I was so pessimistic, though his knee would put a nail in the coffin. But he said it! "Preparing for Hangtown!!!"

Damn, if it happens, it will be epic see him dicing with RV!!!

So happy for him (and us).

And subject to change.... weekly.

In all seriousness it would be awesome if he makes it to (and through) the outdoor series. I will believe it when I see it though and there is a lot of SX racing left.

All the information I've gotten says he's fine. What exactly is wrong with him after that crash and who told you?

I believe its time to cut the man some slack, I totally think he is doing the outdoor. I also don't think most will cut him some slack until he finishes the outdoors. Hopefully he will be in the title hunt as well as many others. The outdoors is where the racing is at.

James riding an outdoor track is amazing. When he is on his game its mind-blowing. Just enjoy it if it happens.

I agree. It’s not like the guy (or anyone for that matter) crashes on purpose. Crashes can, will and always have happened. That is just the way dirt cycle racing goes!

Kind of like J-Law, with Stewart I'll believe he's racing the outdoors when I see him at the gate.

James is walking the walk instead of talking the talk. He is out of the championship hunt for sx but he is out there putting in laps for his fans and his sponsors. Him staying in and putting in the laps will help him outdoors and with RV on the top of his game James is going to need those SX laps.

This year he has left the smack talk at home and showed up even when things weren't going his way. Again Im glad to see it and I will give respect where it is due. Everyone love a good comback after someone is down on hs luck and James may just be putting one together.

I'm just trying to beat the hate haters to the punch.

Didn't you get the memo that anyone that criticizes JS is a racist redneck hater? ;-)

Agreed. James has shown a lot of commitment this SX season, courage comes to mind also.

This is true but I bet RV dominates the outdoors this year over all takers.

You have tens of millions of dollars.

You have a torn ACL.

You have no chance of winning the championship.

You continue to race nevertheless, often posting the fastest time in practice.

You are honest and to the point while smiling in most of your interviews.

You have shown character.

I absolutely agree! If you haven't watched James race on an outdoor track it's an absolute treat.

Something tells me his Suzuki managers are just not as lenient as his past managers.

I think there is a bit of an onus on someone who starts a post and people who post in that thread to do a bit of research and at least know a tiny bit about what they are posting.

Since the beginning of the season James has ALWAYS said he was doing the outdoors. He's talked about it numerous times in different interviews. After the knee injury and when he started to ride back at a decent level again, he confirmed he would be going outdoors for sure, again he talked about this numerous times in different interviews. This wasn't hard to find, in fact it would be difficult for a fan of the sport to have missed the numerous times he said it.

Is James' knee slowing him down in SX?

Is James going to fix/rehab his knee? If so, when?

If the knee is the problem in SX, will it be a problem in MX?

I'm glad he's lining up, he adds a bit of fun and a bit of drama to the series while he's in it and that's a good thing. But let's not pretend he's a threat against the current crop of riders. A couple of Moto wins? Maybe. Top 5 after 12 rounds? I doubt it.

Not unless the class of 2008 returns and he can dice with Alessi and Ferry for a couple of laps before pulling away and winning by a minute. Against Villo, RD, Caynard, Barcia etc? Not so much.

1+

Although he is obviously a controversial guy, he continues to race when he's hurt and he is one of the few who has something interesting to say when he is interviewed.

That, and he is just downright amazing to watch outdoors. Counting the days to TGO.
