Put him against RV in a national and he'll get owned, same as he was owned by RC. Beating down on a weak field doesn't really do it for me but each to their own...
Anyway, "fanboy" huh? Nah, not really. Don't post here too often anymore, but I'm a fan of all of the riders and the sport as a whole. Not that it matters, but you'll see nothing but respect for all the riders in my posts throughout the years.
See the "fanboy" thing thrown around a lot in this thread, and it's almost always used to discredit someone who doesn't share the same favorite rider with the poster (obviously guys like NOOB are an exception...) Back to topic, James himself has stated he's not happy with his performance in the Mains over and over again. This is no secret, and pointing out he "wins practice" brings nothing new to the table and seems to be used to discredit him.
All I'm saying is the dude is plenty fast, extremely talented, a multi-time champ who happened to go 24-0 one outdoor season. Very impressive resume, and in my opinion he deserves respect whether he's your favorite rider or not. BTW, not trying to single just you out BBF. Your comment was mild compared to most.

He went 24-0... Has your favorite rider done that? If you have a favorite rider your a fanboy!!!
Who did RC beat prior to 05? Who did reed beat when he won? Who did dungey beat when he won?
I guess RV is the only guy that really won a championship because 1 or 2 title contenders were there.... Man get the hell out of here with this shit.... All I have to ask, to ppl who think this, what AMA national have you qualified for? Better yet... What LL title do you have...
All of you who discredit anyone at the pro level are lames.
I'm pretty sure he didn't retire due to Jame's ability to win ONE outdoor 450 MX championship, AFTER RC's retirement, against the same guys that RC won SEVEN Titles! AND, RC almost went 24-0 THREE times, with one of those times including JAMES!
It's funny how people defend James when people knock his accomplishments with assinine specualtion but at the same time turnaround and do thee exact same thing to RC's accomplishments.
This is MX related, in SX James clearly was faster than RC.
Even when Ricky was on a 125 he told Davey C. that he wasn't hanging around the sport forever racing, he was gonna do what he wanted to accomplish and then stop. And he did just that! For TEN straight years!
As far as the "unfortunate luck of crashing", that's skill and decision making related, not just random bad luck! RC had those same issues when he first joined the big bike class. He just upped his focus/training/skill and stopped crashing all the time.
As far as the "new forks" go, it's just instagram/twitter hype! Take the smallest things and make them HUGE!
All I know is: Elsinore looks awesome. Tyla & Martin are back on their Green Machines. Cole is railin'. James looks like he likes his bike & It's realllly nice to hear those smokers screaming in the background.
Great Moto-Vid.
Bring on the Nationals!
Note: Since EVERYONE has noticed Dungey's ability to go after RV as of late, well, how come RD5 ain't part of your speculative insanity? Also, no-one's picking a "Dark-Horse"?
JSE fanboys are rabid. They make him out to be the end all be all in SX/MX. Maybe he once was, but he sure is hell ain't playing that role right now. His fanboys are always talking in past or future tense. Back in the day by god he used too.....or just wait until next year.....and we get the same ol same ol....fast in practice..win a race or 2 and he goes home..I will say I am surprised he has not gone home already in this years SX series....
You JSE fanboys go lick your wounds and keep dreaming about 72 wins, and 15 national titles.
Spoken by a GOAT fanboy. And the numbers don't lie. That's the beauty of math.
Pit Row
Regardless, it´s great to see James doing well and seemingly riding like we know he can
