Stewart always looks good without any tough competition on a perfectly groomed track.

Put him against RV in a national and he'll get owned, same as he was owned by RC. Beating down on a weak field doesn't really do it for me but each to their own...

LOL, everyone knows that RC retired as early as he did because he wanted to go out with a bang and on his winning streak. He knew that if he carried on riding he wouldn't have won next years title. He's even admitted that he wasn't as fast as james, he just said james has unfortunate luck of crashing. And that was coming from the GOAT himself.

MX is becoming like NASCAR, where you want to win but not by too much or everyone says you're only winning because there's no competition. Stupid. Anyone who goes 24 and 0 is a certified badass.

McLoud OK, I grew up there, It's a small world.

Always = lately I guess. He's the fastest man in timed practice, wins a truck load of heats, and sandbags the mains.

It ain't like he's setting the world on fire this year, although he does look smooth. But you fanboys still hold him up as the SX messiah. Anyone looks fast riding a SX track all by themselves and whipping and scrubbin it.

Plus, don't get all riled up, I said he was gonna bring it outdoors didn't I?
Cool, it is a small world. I actually don't live there anymore, should update my profile I guess...

Anyway, "fanboy" huh? Nah, not really. Don't post here too often anymore, but I'm a fan of all of the riders and the sport as a whole. Not that it matters, but you'll see nothing but respect for all the riders in my posts throughout the years.

See the "fanboy" thing thrown around a lot in this thread, and it's almost always used to discredit someone who doesn't share the same favorite rider with the poster (obviously guys like NOOB are an exception...) Back to topic, James himself has stated he's not happy with his performance in the Mains over and over again. This is no secret, and pointing out he "wins practice" brings nothing new to the table and seems to be used to discredit him.

All I'm saying is the dude is plenty fast, extremely talented, a multi-time champ who happened to go 24-0 one outdoor season. Very impressive resume, and in my opinion he deserves respect whether he's your favorite rider or not. BTW, not trying to single just you out BBF. Your comment was mild compared to most.

Ahhh I'm a Stewart fanboy... So what? I can't have a favorite rider?

He went 24-0... Has your favorite rider done that? If you have a favorite rider your a fanboy!!!

Who did RC beat prior to 05? Who did reed beat when he won? Who did dungey beat when he won?

I guess RV is the only guy that really won a championship because 1 or 2 title contenders were there.... Man get the hell out of here with this shit.... All I have to ask, to ppl who think this, what AMA national have you qualified for? Better yet... What LL title do you have...

All of you who discredit anyone at the pro level are lames.

All I know is, Stewart was absolutely flying in that video, and Hangtown is going to be awesome.

Not trying to take away from Stewart... but he's not going to look slow on a perfectly smooth track with virtually no ruts. I hope he brings his A game like the beginning of last year, but that track in that condition shows nothing of how they would do on race day. Rattray would also be doing much better if the track was totally bombed out. I just want there to be 7 way battles for the lead at the nats!

You probably won't be anywhere to be found the day after Hangtown.

Here's what "Everyone knows"... RC was showing class with those statements! Proof? Go watch ANY 2006-2007 MX vid's, both on 450's, and you'll see RC was superior outdoors speedwise and ability to WIN.

I'm pretty sure he didn't retire due to Jame's ability to win ONE outdoor 450 MX championship, AFTER RC's retirement, against the same guys that RC won SEVEN Titles! AND, RC almost went 24-0 THREE times, with one of those times including JAMES!

It's funny how people defend James when people knock his accomplishments with assinine specualtion but at the same time turnaround and do thee exact same thing to RC's accomplishments.

This is MX related, in SX James clearly was faster than RC.

Even when Ricky was on a 125 he told Davey C. that he wasn't hanging around the sport forever racing, he was gonna do what he wanted to accomplish and then stop. And he did just that! For TEN straight years!

As far as the "unfortunate luck of crashing", that's skill and decision making related, not just random bad luck! RC had those same issues when he first joined the big bike class. He just upped his focus/training/skill and stopped crashing all the time.

As far as the "new forks" go, it's just instagram/twitter hype! Take the smallest things and make them HUGE!

You guys sure can go waaaaay off the reservation with this stuff...

All I know is: Elsinore looks awesome. Tyla & Martin are back on their Green Machines. Cole is railin'. James looks like he likes his bike & It's realllly nice to hear those smokers screaming in the background.

Great Moto-Vid.

Bring on the Nationals!

Note: Since EVERYONE has noticed Dungey's ability to go after RV as of late, well, how come RD5 ain't part of your speculative insanity? Also, no-one's picking a "Dark-Horse"?

I have said it before, my problem with JS7 is less about JS7 and more about his fans and the media. Only time i got clicked was in a JSE thread. I don't know James Stewart, so I have no opinion on the private citizen James Stewart, but the multimillion dollar enterprise known as James Stewart Entertainment, which James Stewart is the public face of, that is open game IMO.

JSE fanboys are rabid. They make him out to be the end all be all in SX/MX. Maybe he once was, but he sure is hell ain't playing that role right now. His fanboys are always talking in past or future tense. Back in the day by god he used too.....or just wait until next year.....and we get the same ol same ol....fast in practice..win a race or 2 and he goes home..I will say I am surprised he has not gone home already in this years SX series....

You JSE fanboys go lick your wounds and keep dreaming about 72 wins, and 15 national titles.

Nice post, Dan. People forget that RC was a pro for 10 years, had 10 MX titles and 5 SX titles. There's your MX messiah.

Spoken by a GOAT fanboy. And the numbers don't lie. That's the beauty of math.

Weird how nobody can make a thread about Stewart without the Stewart anti-fanboys blowing it up with their RV & RC garbage. You guys are worse than the actual fanboys

While we're critiquing here - you have a unique posting style and while I respect that, I don't always like it. Too many one liners and paragraph breaks for my liking. But here you really brought the logic; you came out of the gate strong with some truth, rode some solid, straight forward laps, then continued to push a good pace to the finish. Nice work man, take a trip over to the Dianna D thread and enjoy the scenery, right after you thank your sponsors in alphabetical order.

Read it. I said that nobody detracted from his wins, praising him for his dominance in the sport regardless of the 'level of competition'. How is that anti-fanboyism?

Well you've all been had anyway, he's not as fast as he might seem in that video. If you watch around the 35 second mark, he clearly cuts the track Shocked
