Barcia was completely in the right to race hard and pass close. THESE GUYS ARE PROS.

With that said whos fault was it? Well let's see. Did Barcia touch Canard? No. Did Barcia put a spell on Canard? No. Did Barcia reach over and knock Canard off his bike? No. Did Barcia drive it in where he could in order to pass Canard? Yes. No harm no foul.

Did Canard make a mistake on the take off? Yes. Did Canard try and save it on the landing? Yes. Did Canard crash? Yes. His fault. He even admited that it was his fault.

What more proof do we need?

Did Barcia look over to see if Trey was okay?

Come on Peel. You know Canard would not have crashed if Barcia hadn't been so close. You also know that you can't expect the guy in front to know what the rider behind him is going to do. If Canard knew Barcia was so close he might not have scrubbed, but it's Barica's responsibility to anticipate where the rider in front of him is going.

Watch the video again. Canard takes off from the very left side of the finish line jump. Barcia took the inside on the corner before - so why is he jumping so close to Canard? Why would he go from the very right side of the track all the way to the left side if it wasn't to try to pinch Trey off for the pass?

From my POV,

Barcia was trying to pinch Trey on the jump to make the pass
Trey didn't realize he was that close since he doesn't have eyes on the back of his head
Justin, who knew exactly how close he was, still whipped it towards Trey and caused the crash

I'm sure Justin didn't mean to cause Trey to wreck but fact is the crash was his fault. Just the way I see it and like you I could be wrong as well.
I have no idea what video you are watching. It sure as hell isn't the one they showed on the Speed coverage. Your dislike of Barcia has you seeing things that do not exist.

You are ASSumeing that by not looking over means he had bad intentions or a lack of concern? How can you come to this conclusion? So now what? Should the rider stop and check on other riders before beating them? Dude, this aint baseball.

I can here it now!
EMIG: "You know Ralph I didn't see the rider look in the direction of the downed rider?"
RALPH: "Aw that's too bad that means he wanted the other rider to crash, He is gonna get docked".

HAHAHAHAHA, that's the second time you said that in this thread. Such a ridiculous thing to say, never mind there is a race going on with 18 other bikes, he shoulda pulled over in the mechanics area and given the asterisk crew a hand with Trey, huh?

all this teammate talk in this thread, what sport are we talking about? Victories are not shared in this sport. There are teams, but no teammates.

I'm sorry but that was NOT Canard's fault. He didn't cross rut or come up short or anything. Barcia whiped his bike right into Trey's path and Trey had no where to go. 2nd time this year Bam Bam has taken Trey out of a race. It's BS if you ask me and def not necessary.
Barcia had nothing do do w that lol, how was it not Canards fault? Barcia was middle line all the way through that section as he was passing and Canard scrubed it towards barcia...luckly he only took himself out (again) in the process.

Goes for all riders but its interesting to me that you can keep on riding and not even have a fast glance at the situation. No I didn't say that he should have stopped and helped the medical crew, not at all. All I know is that he saw another rider go down in a situation they both where involved in and didn't even turn his head so slightly for a look going down the start straight.

I'm a little biased though after seeing him roost the Astreix guy and a downed rider.

I just think he was not in a position to look any way but forward. Anything else seems dangerous.

I'm thinking what I would have done in a similar situation with a friend who crashed. Then again I'm not a pro and not running sx speed with the concentration that comes along. The more I think about it's harder to tell really. Just seem odd to me that he doesn't look over as a fellow human.

I hear that Trey Canard is ok (from his tweets last night) after that nasty fall at Indy on Saturday. I'll tell ya, when he was flopping around not able to get up, my stomach sank...because it looked like it might have been another serious injury for him and that he was in a lot of pain. From the footage of the Asterisk medical guy leading him off the track, he looked super wobbly...and it turned out it was a concussion. But, damn...it could have been so much worse, for BOTH riders. I watched the clip of the two riders side by side over the jump on Saturday night, and couldn't tell if Barcia ran Canard to the edge of the jump face or was it just Canard going for it and losing control?

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a regularity of run-ins between Canard & his teammate Barcia? A few weeks ago, Canard had to pull off the track after an altercation with BamBam that left him with a handful of spokes broken in his front wheel. In his pre-race interview with Erin, Trey called Barcia "overly aggressive" (no shock) and appeared to be pretty pissed at him for the incident. I can also remember a few other times where the two have gotten too close for comfort, and Canard has come out on the worse side of things.

Is there a lot of friction between the two riders?
I literally felt nauseous watching Trey trying to get up. I thought it was maybe a femur again, or something with his back.
I was fucking relieved to see him walking around.
It's like watching a buddy get hurt. Just sucks.

C'mon man... LOL. Could Barcia have made an attempt to pass his teammate with a hell of a lot better judgment? Yes.

There is no evidence here for a jury to find guilt. Now, did Bam Bam run the Dunge wide more than once? Guilty as charged.

Barcia has no team mates, he will never have team mates, and that is why he will never be on the MXdN team again.

I think Canard was taken by suprise at how close Barcia was, but that was NOT Barcia's fault. This time.

No one to blame in this incident but Trey himself.
Agree, Barcia comes side by side with Canard on the jump before, they hit the finish jump side by side, Barcia jumps straight, Canard scrubs/whips with his front wheel turned towards Barcia.

Barcia making a clean move, Canard made a mistake.

Glad to see he was OK

Its not like they did this. Neither metcalfe or barcia wrecked from touching wheels. I think canard must have cross rutted or something.

Well that would be borderline criminal.
