I actually found one on craigslist earlier in my area, but sadly Im not doing a vintage restore..this time. I am still working on my '79 Penton 125 restore! As far as the suzuki, im looking for the best modern model.

This one! I loved the way those fork guards looked just because it was different than all teh rest of the bikes of that time.

I had a '98 RM125, and although I was a complete begooner, and the bike was a bit old and tattered, the steel frame and conventional forks were such a soft and forgiving ride for me. I have good memories of learning on that bike.

Im pretty sure they changed the offset in 2005? So 05 till 08 are the same bike essentially.

My opinion would be the "79 RM-250 N for vintage, but I ride a "04 RM250 as my race bike, more revish than the newer ones...

I'd never noticed the small fender over the back of the front tire before.. Were they having problems with fork seals or something that year?

That's a brace to help with the fork flex, They couldn't get the forks the way he wanted and eventually switched to upside down units.
