He seemed to be more preperated than RC and a helluva lot better dressed.

I was pretty irritated when I saw the fat retarded guy from speeds god awful attempt at Top Gear. They should have brought Jeremy Clarkson from the real Top Gear to commentate....that guy is funny as hell!

I think that dude is funny and I liked Top Gear. Maybe some peeps that liked Top Gear that don't watch moto, saw him and decided to watch because of him. I doubt too many turned the program off last night due to him.

I love RC as a racer, but it's kinda funny to hear him fight back wanting to say "I seen...." instead if "I saw"

I feel he had a terrible opening and first impression. Left me with a bad taste from the get go. As the show went on and towards the end he got a lot better I just feel they definitely went with the wrong intro.

I liked the "preparate" sentence from RC. His grammer is absolutely terrible! Could have done without the Rutledge guy. There is something about recording and watching later. That way you can go right by all the CRAP they put in. Show could have been 1 to 1 1/2 shorter. All the filler was boring. I just want to watch racing and I don't need a recap of what I just watched. I got it the first time!

I think Rut will appeal to a certain segment of the audience. Young, uninformed, and casual about SX,. To those of us that actually care about the sport he is a detriment.

I thought Rutledge Wood did very well and as always, so did Diana, Erin, Ralph, RC and Fro. It was great unpredictable racing too. I don't understand why there is all this complaining. I thought it was a great night.

I feel sorry for the guy, imagine if you had the name "Rutledge" through middle and high school. I'll bet the dude still has bruises from being beat up.

At the beginning of the show, I thought he was just some goofy fan they put in front of the camera. It's hard to imagine he actually gets paid for that job, but good for him, I guess anybody can be a tv personality nowadays.

....on the other point, Ricky Carmichael's grammar was absolutely atrocious, but not unexpected. I'm sure some producer in the broadcast trailer was grimacing during that little " I SEEN" run of his...

At least i didn't hear him say over and over "I just seen" or "I seen" Dear lord someone needs to help Ricky out a little. Love his insight but the constant "seen" is killing me. haha.

Whoops sorry Brent just "seen" your post. Sorry for duplicating.

He singlehandedly ruined the Top Gear USA show as well.
Agreed, he absolutely ruined TOP GEAR USA of having any chance at success. Unfunny and appears clueless.

Smirky, smarmy and genuinely thinks he's too cool to be anywhere... Me thinks SpeedTV had him under contract and

pawned him off on our beloved sport. Our loss. The dude is a frickin' GOON. I don't despise many, but please, please,

"spit game" ? Do you talk like that too ? Do me a favor and bend your brim and then go brush your teeth with cat shit.

Pretty short sided for you. He may not be what you want to hear but he is perfect for the non core crowd. Everyone here complains about TV packages well you need more people to watch than core. He did a good job and added some funny stuff to break up a long live show to keep people on the channel. I guarantee regular viewers can relate to him much more than the guys in the booth or the girls in the pit.

Glad to see them switching it up. And no none of you could've done better. Lol
How many non core fans are even watching and if they are they sure won't wait an entire hour for the first heat race to start?

All I have to say is, are you fricking kidding me Speed? I have to believe the majority of true fans/riders saw that chub and went WTF is he doing here. O'well hopefully he will not be around to long, nothing personnel but he is one of those guys you would like to punch in the face,

Atleast there searching for ways to make it better. The remainder of the crew in the booth is getting a little stale. They should get Fro and RC out of the booth and have them provide input from the pits/floor.

Personally, didn't care for the guy at all and thought he cheapened what was otherwise a great broadcast.

He's pretty good at lighthearted "man on the street" and behind the scenes type interviews. I hope they send him into the paddocks to mingle with the riders and crews in future events.

Seriously? A whole thread bitchin about a commentator? The whole reason moto doesn't take off for the mainstream is because only "core" people pay attention. Emig and RC do a good job, but the average layman has no idea who they are. Rutledge is articulate and brings a mass media appeal to a sport that is mostly made up of "core" followers. I would assume that its an attempt by speed to try and pull in viewers of other Speed programs by having a familiar face in the broadcast. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't but at least they are trying to grow the sport. I am amazed at how short sighted people can be.

Gentlemen. Speed got rid of US AMA Pro Motocross and Formula One Racing in the same year. The 2 most manly sports on the planet. You don't choose to cut off both your balls unless you are ready to admit you are fucken gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just saying.

Dude even my girlfriend asked "who is this jagoff"? You must be smoking lds if you think joe 6 pack who dvr's "dumbest stuff on wheels" is going to find interest in sx. What was there 4 or 5 crashes over a 4 hour broadcast? Putting Allens brother on the mic is not going to help. Portray the sport for what it is. Hundreds of men risking their life, their families, their houses, their kids, for a job without pay. Zero income. Work the human aspect of it. A motorsport racing series with near zero financial reason to participate. Yet these warriors struggle on because they were home schooled and could not get a job at walmart.

Or just show the 2 guys up front and call it good.

Often I read a thread on here, and I am convinced, there is no possible way Vitards could be any more Vitarded. Then.... a thread like this TOTALLY blows the last one out of the water.

So... let me get this right. Not even a month ago, everyone on here was pissing and moaning because there may not be any SX at all on Speed. Everyone was squealing and whining about it.... hair was on fire, etc. Now... we get a huge pre game show on Speed ( thank goodness for speedvison) that was pretty entertaining.... and everyone is complaining. Un-Freakin'-Believeable!!!

THEN!!! We complain because motocross doesnt have a great main stream image, that its declining in #s, etc etc... and a dude like Rutledge is hired, plays the part of the "happy loving the action fan" ( and probably is that guy).... and you guys are pissing and moaning more???

Holy shit. Get a damn grip you guys. That was one of the best programs and race I think Speed has ever done. Was there things that could have been better? Sure. Just as a pile of people on here could be a WHOLE BUNCH LESS F'N STUPID.... but thats probably asking for too much.

Those of you complaining about that program and the efforts to make it better, please... go F yourself. Good grief.

Ok,. Done my rant. Peace, love, happiness, puppy dogs and rainbows to everyone. Smile

I could have done without him also. That being said,as bad he was, in my opinion he was better than Sal Masekela.Nothing against the guy, I just dont get into that kind of hosting for lack of a better word. I would rather hear commentary from a racer, someone who has been there and at that level. When it comes down to it, as far as Im concerned aside from a few parts the pre race show wasnt worth watching. Maybe I should have just watched Ghost Adventures instead Smile
