To me when your in a position he's in throwing jabs at ppl isn't a good thing... It's obvious he's trying to get at someone.

Ken Roczen (@KenRoczen94) tweeted at 0:02 PM on Mon, Dec 10, 2012:

I mean... He's obviously talking about izzi. But his tweets are no longer relevant to me so I won't follow him anymore. To me this was a childish move and he needs to grow up and learn not to judge others publicly when your a "professional" if it wasn't so obvious that he had someone in his cross hairs I wouldn't care. But oh well in sure he won't miss me being a fan.

Nothing wrong with being loyal to those who gave you everything.

Izzi would probably agree. He is back with his rents.

I don't think he is having a stab at Izzi. That episode might be what he is basing his opinion off, but its not like Izzis case is unique. Kenny seems like a family loving kid, who just can't see how people could just kick their parents out.

Besides, isn't he allowed to voice an opinion?

Lusk had similar issues, think he disowned them.

Ya never know what is going on in someone else's shoes.

Twitter is the start of the end of the universe.

That said, love RocZ!!

Fast forward to three years from now, when he potentially tweets, "My Dunlops were really hooking up out there."

Then you guys will be whining about the "good old days" when he was outspoken.

Wait, I want to make sure I understand this....

It is wrong to say kids should listen to their parents and to continue working on a program that has obviously been successful enough to put those same kids into that position in the first place?

and it's wrong for a professional racer to say that?

Is mellonhs a trainer? Is that the problem?

exactly! what he said was reasonable and good, it certainly wasn't a bad thing or unprofessional. I also agree with Reed too though. I think it comes down to making the right decisions for your career as well.

We're all entitled to our opinion but on this occasion I can't agree with Kenny. All situations are different. Just because his parents are wonderful doesn't mean everyone else had the same experience. For any individual who had one of those over bearing type upbringings (regardless of the final result), I can completely sympathise with some resentment building up later in life.

You are that worked up over something a teenage kid put on his twitter?

"WOW" is exactly right. Might be time to take the interwebs less serious.

Not soon enough. I want to enjoy the holidays, but I will have one eye on the calendar. Smile

I will say, though, that I thought this off-season was better-behaved than I thought it might be...especially considering that it was an election year, which tends to make people grumpier.

I like it when these kids throw some sweet jabs. That imo was kinda weak though. In the 80's and 90's they used to rip out a bros spoke and jab each other in the face. It makes for good racing i think.

There is a reason I don't do twitter , facebook and all that stuff.......if you replied to every single thing that came down the pike......how in the world do you ever get anything done?

Sometimes being connected to every single human on the planet is a bad thing. My opinion anyways.

An issue for kids who've had great parents is that it's really hard to appreciate how unwise or simply bad some parents can be.

And an issue for knuckleheads is that they often don't get (if they ever get it) how good their good parents may be (even if not perfect, like all us parents) until after they've screwed things up.

Have no problem with KR's comment; it's his comment and if it suffers from anything, it's only because he's speaking out of the world he knows.

Nothing wrong wirh his opinion... But to comment on something he has no clue about is wrong. I disowned my father about 4 months ago due to him calling my wifes family white trash, stealing something out of my storage unit and trading it for food stamps and calling me a "white boy" and telling me to kill myself for defending my wife's family and confronting him about trading my shit for food stamps. Which lead to the thrashing of my wife and her family... So... Yall are saying I'm wrong for disowning his pathetic irrelevant ass? Lol he's lucky I didnt make his funeral arrangements. Oh and all this is on top of all the shit shit built up from when I was a younger... Like never attending a wrestling match nvm the state finals I was in senior yr. And nvr attending a football game.. nvr picking me up from practice and having to ask ppl for rides home, spitting on me when o git in trouble in school, being drunk 24/7. Marrying a bitch who did nothing but put my mother down haha I could keep going. But everyone has a diff situation. And if someone wants to dump their parents... Don't judge unless you know the whole story and you've been there. Haha but damn it actually feels good to get rid of negative influence. l lead by example with my 8 month old son!!

I'm black and my wife is white. I'm a respectable black guy who doesnr wear his pants below his ass and doesn't act/talk like a hood rat and despise the hood rats who put the stereotype on blacks. And that has ate him up for a long time. Because he's a lil ghetto and thinks the world/white ppl owe him something.

So your dad calling you a "white boy" was just a clever way of calling you an "uncle tom", i get it now. I thought you were white so when i first read your post i was like, damn stop being so sensitive cracka!!!! lol (To the "white boy" part) But seriously, good for you for disowning his ignorant ass.

I don't think anyone would have the type of situation you've experienced in mind when talking about the natural process of kids transitioning to adulthood and becoming independent without being alienated from their parents. Very sorry you had to go such an extreme tearing of a relationship that for most folks is pretty good even if not perfect.
