Matthews just tweeted...

@pulpmx: So yeah, looks like Josh Hill got the last spot on the RCH Suzuki team. Someone's not too happy....

I hate be so negative, but I doubt it will last long, "all the Kings horses, and all the King's men couldn't put Josh Hill" back together again.

Hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt it.

I hope hill kills it but man i am somewhat suprised by this. I think Chiz is a much safer choice and why would they not use tedesco again? He is a better pick over the both of them.

Well now I know how @jimmyalbertson felt when he tried out for the MotoConcepts Team a couple years ago! #BS #WasteMyTime

Bummer for Chiz - Good news for Hill.
Hopefully Kyle get's something decent and everything works out for him.
Sure would be a bummer not having him out there this coming season.

I think RC knows a little more about who's going to be the right choice rather the any of us here. I'm pretty sure RC will have thought all about the pro's and Con's of who to hire as a rider.

Hopefully they picked him up for cheap, I guess RCH getting one of those doubles, or more like a single, Nicoletti was a better pick than that.

A lot of us have to go to interviews to find out the position sucks or you get overlooked for some stupid reason. Waste of time to go for a tryout? pleeeeeease

I know Hill is a wildcard but I hope he stays healthy and does well this year.

I think Josh was the best choice of all the riders mentioned in this thread. He has won races, proved he can run up front, obviously has a great rider believe in him and still has his youth. Not to mention he has his younger brother coming up and i guarantee that being the older brother he does not want to play 2nd fiddle. Josh has taken a lot of flack over the backflip incident, but truth is he was doing what he loved riding his bike, he didnt throw anything away, and it did not make him not live up to his potential. I believe he will come back strong and do well, hes more than a capable rider and Im sure with the guidance and work ethic that is now a part of this team, he may be the true dark horse coming into this year.

I hope/presume Josh Hill has shown RC & crew something we didn't see in 2012. Otherwise Josh Hansen will place better than both of those guys in 2013.

I'm glad Josh has a ride, but Chiz honestly was the best pick IMO. He made it through the whole year this year, rode hurt, and still was top 10 very consistently. He deserves a good ride. Ever since that crash he had at Houston in 2011, he's shown what kind of a workhorse he is. I honestly think that crash did alot more damage to him than people thought. If he gets completely healed up, he could do some serious damage. He has the potential to run with K-Dub, Shorty, Millsaps and those guys but he just needs a break.

America loves a comeback story.

It's all about potential, hill has that in spades. Everyone forgets he was running with dunge and stew in 2010. It all depends if he can get the magic back. I'm sure RC has the best judgment of a riders ability.

Chiz is a solid rider but I see him having a hard time cracking the top ten. Not that Hill's results will be any better but there's that remote chance he finds his old speed. That would be a huge comeback story and could bring some great exposure for the team. Not sure what Tedesco would bring to the team? At this point he's a 12th to 15th guy and on the back nine

FALSE! Chiz beat factory riders in total championship points so how can you say he isn't factory caliber?

Yes Josh got hurt when the back flip bit him......I do believe that most do not know that the wheels came off Josh's momentum when he signed his first big contract. He got sideways and discarded those and the values that got him that first contract. He then aligned himself with the wrong crowd much like a young man going off to college, only this young man had bank.

From what I have seen he has been riding and training at home this summer and hopefully has reached back in time.

I am fairly certain he was a value in contract terms, he still is young and talented - he wants it, he is contrite and focused.

JMHO

Give hem all a run for their money Josh!!!!!!!!

Well said, these guys and their rockstar attitude. He went in knowing one of two outcomes were going to take place, he was going to make the team, or he wasn't he made that choice. I understand he is frustrated but suck it up, quit crying via social media and take is as just another day of riding. Isn't this the same guy that was pretty much gifted the San Manuel ride in '09? He should know how industry functions.

I wasn't doubting Kyle's skill and work ethic by any means but I think most would agree he's never going to challenge the top guys. Hill has challenged and beaten the best. It's a gamble that he can get back to his old form but one that could pay huge dividends. Like I said, it would make for a great story

so?

when was he charging up front...oh..he wasnt.

im not knocking this dude, but RCH is factory...they arent paying someone to barely crack the top 10.

Agree. Not like we said Chisolm is a bum or something. I'm sure RCH wants to make a splash this season and Kyle getting 10th place isn't gonna set the world on fire. Take a gamble on Hill and he doesn't pan out, it's still a feel good story. If he gets up on the box, people will be going nuts. A little coaching from the GOAT certainly won't hurt
