Seen it over and over again. And i firmly belive and think i can see that he has to chop his throttle because of Barcias misstake when doing a overly risktaking pass? Byt hey thats my personal opinion and i don't think Barcias fans thinks so. Barcia impressed me because he learned so quick? Look at all fast sand riders he beat.

I think over both sides of the pond there are top quality riders. But the AMA riders are used to a series which doesnt have much variation in track terrain / prep. It's not just Lommel where USA would get beat, Leirop prob would have been even harder for them, Valkensvaard, possibly even Kagums too.

Maybe next time the team USA should try to fit in a G.P. This year they could have rode Leirop for example. Might help you prepare ?

TBH im amazed team USA are returning home without a serious injury. Since there first test day they have been sampling the soil in great style,

Why shouldn't team USA adapt there schedule for MXON. Dont you get bored of constantly riding the same style tracks, all in a bid to win a National series ? The MXON is your only chance of a world title. If they want another win streak they will have to deal with Leirop in few years. I hope team USA attend this time.

Riding the same style tracks, as you call them, has worked pretty well the past 7 yrs

Well???!!!! Ive just enjoyed all the dick comments from this thread, and you guys said to come back after the race to discuss, so here i am!

Ill admit i wrote this as a kind of troll thread as you yanks bite so easily, but what i said really came true, and more!!

USA had a bit of an eye opener this weekend, REGARDLESS of if some riders use it to train on, getting easily lapped at the top level of motocross is special. Are you guys saying that if we came to glen helen next week, then dunge would lap cairoli and herlings?

Keep the excuses coming aswell lads, funny stuff to read!

yeah, it did come pretty close in France & Italy, but to be fair you guys are very strong on most tracks.

The reason team USA wins most of these events is because you have the strongest national series in the world. All 3 of your riders are at the very top level. No other country has 3 riders at that level. If there was a couple of deep sand tracks in the AMA calender then you would prob win every year.... But you dont. Smile

The kid is very nice.

And he is bloody damn fast in the sand, that's what he is. Crashing in the start and coming back to Tony's rear wheel is absolutely amazing. If it wasn't for backmarker Guarneri (Cairoli's teammate) blocking Herlings with one and a half lap to go, Jeffrey would have won, no doubt.

But, the topicstarter was right, Herlings did lap Baggett. Nobody thought it was possible but he did.

I got news for you bud. We've got more than 3 riders at that level. A lot more. But 3 is all we are allowed to send.

Tomac, Alessi, RV, JS are up there. Trouble is your prob going to always have at least one top rider out with an injury. SX holds your country back in terms of MX depth.

Be great to see an ryder cup style event, different track style each year, Be a good chance for USA riders to get some more sand practice also. Smile

Got to give them Euros credit, especially Cairoli, dude hung on and got the win.

We had some bad luck in crashes, but all things considered we were flat out beat.

Yet you found a way to send over two teams with PR in the mix and still didn't win it.

Give credit where it's due man. It was good race and the American team finished third behind two stronger teams this year.

Get over it.

Dude i'm not knocking the amount of talent as a racer, thats obvious for all to see. i DON'T have to know him personally to know that he not only embarrassed himself but also his fans and KTM by behaving like a spoilt brat this year. he showed no respect for anyone and behaved like a complete dick. I have the utmost respect for his riding ability but if my 18 year old son had behaved like he has this year i'd be ashamed. He needs to grow up and show some respect.

Hopefully RV is healthy in a few years and goes to Europe. Will be fun to see and laugh every week rather than once a year.

This thread delivered. Good read after all the Herlings bashing and the non-sense comparison to Glen Helen last year in an other thread...

Why bump a 3 yr old thread about an event most American motocross fans let alone normal people don't care about? It lost it's luster long ago.

Even though the US has been losing, I still find myself looking most forward to this race every year. I have been jumping up and down at the TV for the past couple years... which happens less and less at the standard, AMA and GP events.

Plus... I don't mind paying for a quality stream with non-stop race action.

Like Red Sox fans used to say... there is always next year :-)

I think the usa will have it covered the next couple years to be honest. A lot of racing to go before hand of course. But I would say this year and next are yours for the taking.

most american motocross fans probably don't care about the mxon anymore because the USA hasn't won since 2011, lol.
