How you been my friend? Thank you for the grin as well as the reality of people using multiple screen names.
Steve Cox by any name but preferably only one is welcome on Motonews ANYTIME and I am pretty sure his subscription is turned back on along with everyone else who has ever been a Mototalker....everyone includes a lot of people.
Overthrow one dictator, get another.... US and Euro side, same thing.
It only seems like at lot of bullshit because its the same bullshit from 2006 recycled.
Excited for the MXoN next weekend.
Are you making the trip to Belgium this year?
If so ,hope you have a good safe trip and bring us back lots of photos.

At one time, I thought you were good decent folk, until I saw how unglued you could become at the drop of a hat.
I'd say the people here that argue all the time, would probably get on just fine in real life.
What blows my mind, seriously, is how you got Youthstream to send you to a few GP's and the MXDN on the basis of Mototalk giving them press? Like really, seriously, how did you do it? Is the internet broke over there and they're still getting the 2002 version?
Or did you just promise to write how the GP's were better, the USA nationals are going to hell, etc, etc?
Can't be that easy, can it?
MX2 GPs are a lot deeper than you think. Telliet, Febvre,Ferrandis and the rest are a lot faster than you seem to realise, and racing a GP series is way different than racing a Aussie National series, comparing how they would do in the Aussie series is not really relevent to GPs.
All our guys are really good British Championship riders, all top ten... which is as tough or tougher than the Aussie nationals. Martin Barr and Graeme Irwin would easily be top ten in Australia, and Edmonds was as quick as Moss at the Des Nations in France last year on the Saturday.
Duno, Cody Cooper struggled to get points in the GPs last year. But Coppins will be good, he should know how to ride the sand, not sure about their MX2 guy.
I only wish the edit button you used yesterday after getting things off your chest would be available to me. If it the Edit button existed for me I would delete the part of my PRIVATE e mail to you where I reference SOME Vital MXrs thinking sunshine comes out of your butt. If you wish to review more of an e mail I sent you in private in a public forum you might want to talk to your sister first on that one. Not 100 percent sure about that but if I was guessing is not cool to reference private e mails in a public forum....but I've been wrong before too.
BTW while not quite being a member of that particular part of the Vital MX community I do recognize the great job you and your family have done and continue to do in the sport of American MX. I am doing my best to get the disucssion back on track on the GPs, MXA, Luongo, MX Sports topics. I''m really not sure why you and your crew have decided to dredge up the past but I don't appreciate that your actions get spun into "me holding a grudge" by one VitalMXr in this thread.
Was I happy about the situation that you and only you don't know what everybody in the forum users community knows and has known for the last two if not three years. No but what am i to do? Thanks to the words of a very close business associate of mine and the words's of a very smart woman they got me to see no purpose was being served by my not forgiving those who trespassed against me.
My life is going so well right now and after the previous 24 months of a nomadic life style that has included its ups and downs I'm only focused on the future. My future doesn't include ANYTHING from that painful chapter in moto forum history/great life lesson Rock learned about not being such an idiot on a public forum reality.
My future includes farming, taming a feral cat, surviving a rooster with an attitude while working three jobs (my latest of working with autistic kids is fantastic....waited my whole life for something this rewarding) while at the same time trying to focus on doing what I can to make the sport of MX better. As a result I'll continue to support the issues that are dear to my heart....sound issues, safety issues and FFFOTW. My only goal is to see the sport grow and have less people get hurt so we can keep the sport growing.
If we disagree on topics I hope (second time I've written this in 24 hours) we both can stay focused on the future.
Besides the past is a construct on the mind anyway. The future is real and yet to be completely shaped.
For me though I'm most concerned about the Belgium team...how about you?
TFS-Have you ever sat down and spoken to Jody Weisel? Before you make too many assessments on Jody let me tell you as someone that has known him for going on 17 years or so: The guy is one of the smartest people I know. Yes he's Jody but I think he's more than paid his motodues to be the elder statesman of MX. He took the infamous let broc bye photo, was racing back at the beginning and has a very technical oriented mind from my observations.
The coolest thing to me about Jody is he doesn't care what you, me or anyone thinks about him. He's always done right by me and being an opinionated person myself I like and respect Jody's outspoken and usually opinionated perspective. To be clear opinionated to me is not a bad thing to be. I would rather have someone be upfront with their opinions even if they're in conflict with mine. I would much rather deal with an opinionated persont nstead of dealing with someone who waits to see what my position is on something before they offer up their position.
My last Jody factoid is (and if you read MXA this will be no surprise) he has an extremely dry sense of humor. He like myself sometimes find things funny others don't.
I told him two death jokes and he was so so. I told him the Batman joke the young Englishman told me and he said "now that one's funny."
What did Batman say to Robin as he pulled the Batmobile around to pick Robin up?
Robin get in the car. :-)

Can we get in a few verses of Kumbayah?
(Yes, that's an attempt to be funny)
Pit Row
Every I've spoken to GL the fan part of Luongo is at the surface and this generous contribution speaks to how much he's a fan of MX history.
From my having attended two GPs this season I have to say the GPs are bitchin.......be even cooler if the GPs had an Alessi Tickle or someone chasing the MX1 championship.
If the Americans are so much faster taking a MX1 title should be easy right.
BTW if i had money I would either start my own MX colleges on both sides of the pond or just give MX Heaven a ton of money to do this. It means so much to privateers to get help anytime but in a strange country with new customs the smallest things can make a huge difference in the lives of privateers.
Finishing this on where it started it is nice there will be travel money for I believe five of the privateer teams next year in the GPS.

“Let Brock Bye” Another Jim Gianatsis legendary motocross photo
Jim Gianatsis's photos and stories from the Tran Am days in Cycle News is what kept me such a rabid fan. Jim is a talented photographer but this infamous photo is not from his collection.
On page 3 of this thread you addressed it and wrote "I didn't realize Luongo did that for Chuck Sun...pretty cool. " Which is kind of odd given that both you and I were among the cc's GL replied-all to last Wednesday morning telling Rob he was donating the money.
Nice quote: "'When you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything.' Samuel Houston quote."
It's like you're channeling MikeeP.
Good on GL and the other donors for getting Sun to the event, and to Rob for setting it up.

bobbym-LOL You in for the MEC?
Hey, Rock, you're literally a terrible person. Don't you have some snake oil to peddle? Or are you a "journalist" now? You and that idiot that Matthes pays in the Pacific Northeast should start a media outlet of some sort together. "Faux News" or something.
