He was talking about going 1-1 and how great the riding was the week before. He said he was 100% and ready to battle. Pushed through the pain my ass. He didn't have an injury until he got demoralized. If it wasn't for that video I would be on your side man but I can't deny what he said and what I saw.

James may have thought he could go 1/1 at Red Bud becuase of the way he felt on the bike during testing but tracks are never as rough as they become on race day.

There is no shortage of idiots posting on this board, that is for sure.

The races will probably be less exciting and the outcome more predictable without James, but there isn't much point in him being out there when he is not 100%. At Red Bud his wrist was obviously effecting him and he wasn't at his best, so he is taking some more time off to recover. I know he has missed a lot of races in the last few years, and has given some dubious explanations for his absences, but I don't think it is fair to say he is making excuses or being a pussy.

Its not as fun but it beats not racing. So I cant imagine being paid (by Sponsers) and having a factory bike and mechanic and opting not to race ,unless I was mortally wounded or something.So you know what...F%$k him. There are many other riders with more character then the FMOP,They just need to step up thier game to keep up to the Dunge and KTM.

That would be more believable. If he reinjured the wrist on one of those tipovers that would be another story. But that's not what the press release said.

I think the guy is the fastest on a given day or when on a winning streak, but what he failed to realize after missing a few rounds; the competition got more seat time and better dialed with their bikes, while gaining confidence and further conditioning. For him to say before the race that it would great to go 1:1, that tells me he severally underestimated a few things.

There's no doubt he'll be back on top, but I agree with most here that he sure is running low on excuses.

He is starting to remind me of Mike Tyson. He too used to be on top, then one day it all started to change and he just couldn't deal with being beat and started behaving weird out of pure frustration...Like biting someone's ear. Sometime you just have to suck it up and keep making progress.

I AM glad that he finished the 2nd moto and did much better and basically cruised to 3rd place. His problem is they give him too much flexibility with his contract so he can more or less decide on whim if he's up for racing or not.

Again - he needs to suck up like the rest of the guys out there. He eluded to this after the first moto, but electing not to race for a few rounds is just sad....Sad for him and sad for the sport. I was a supported, but I'm jumping on the bandwagon at this stage, mostly do to his actions and non-actions at this stage.

Considering Suzuki lost their other factory rider, how do we know THEY didn't decide to shut the operation down for a few weeks and save some money??

Also, how do we know THEY didn't say: "James, you have to be healthy for the supercross season, and we don't want you jeopardizing the season we contracted you for."

yeah rooster I was gonna post somethin like this when it first surfaced.....................would be strange but not out of the question.....

after doing what they did the first 4 motos and then the 5th at Hipoint............then 6-3 at Redbud........and gettin beat by the "other" suzuki they might not have been so happy.................

add it all up.........a stronger Dungey/KTM now than when it started.......a little hurt and confidence loss for James............wanting to be 100% when it really starts to count down the road........

a little black helicopter but as usual................because we really don't know, we really don't know!!

But the press release doesn't make any sense given the events, pre-race videos etc. If he's re-injured himself then that would make perfect sense so why not just say it if that's the case.

Maybe it's time for the Stewart camp to realize that people aren't as gullible as they'd like to think. More honesty from them = less speculation/bagging from fans.
