Agree with above... I thought he did a great job overall (those comments included). Color commentary is supposed keep things interesting and entertaining, both accomplished. Enjoyed both motos!

The sport is likely not to grow because of the injury rates in the 450 class. For the sport to grow and reach new viewers, the racing must be exciting (Carmichael quote). I highly doubt Bestwick poses a bigger threat to the sport than the current injury rates. You may not like the guy, and that is fine, but to imply that he is somehow going to hinder the progression of the sport is absolutely preposterous.

I think a lot of this may have to do with the culture he is from. Reed was hated in the early years of his career for telling things the way they were. I was shocked by what Bestwick said, but Stewart does have episodes where he gets pulled over by the law, and he did produce another million dollar quote fifteen minutes after Jamie uttered those words. Exactly, how far off from the truth was he?

It was basically just his way of blurting out that Dungey's a much quieter character compared to a rider like James. He just sort of butchered it a little in the process, that's all really.
Exactly, he just stirred it up a bit. It was meant to be funny and im sure James can appreciate the joke.

it's not like Bestwick said that James is a big poser but can't run the pace. The context that joke was put in was not even close to that.

All I hear from a lot of people on here about how the riders and commentary sugar coat things. Then some real truth comes out... Jamie's comment on Stewart... Stewart saying about growing a sack... And then a bunch of still bitch and whine.

Most of you need to grow a sack and stfu and let the truth be known.

In all fairness, you don't know what he was hired to do. Emig & Weege were handling the job just fine. Maybe this kind of stuff IS what he was hire for...

I thought he was terrible first week, but didn't mind him this week. Seemed like he respected Fro & W's space a bit better.

You are wrong on 2 fronts. Bestwick has more accomplishments in BMX than most any other athlete has in their sport. He has won every Dew tour and X game championship EVER! He also does a good job announcing.

I liked it when he yelled out that bagett didn't jump larocco's leap and now Barcia pulled a HUGE gap. Bagett was right back on his tire by the next corner -- pretty much before he could get his comment out. Agree with the others, he doesn't add to the show. Get Langston in there.

The way he said it made it sound like James gets arrested all the time and doesn't work off the track. I think it was a low blow and you could tell Emig and Weege were shocked as they talked in almost aww right after.

Bestwick needs to go, 3 guys in the booth, 1 being someone who knows crap about moto is too much. I love how Bestwick acts like he knows all the Euros and toots their horns the entire time.

Dungey has only been a 450 Pro since 2010. This will be his 3rd season. How many wins and championships does Dungey have in the 450 class compared to Stewart's first 3 years? There's a little truth for everyone too.
