Any idea when it's coming back?

I know turnouts have always been good, so wtf, we deserve one every 3 years..

I do love it when it is here, but why do we "deserve" one every 3 years?

BTW, I think it is 2013 or 2014 that it is coming back, at least that is what the press release said a couplish years ago

MXdN is in Germany 2013. 2014 Latvia...have you seen that circuit?

Deserving b/c of results, attendance and competition, not money.

It would be cool do have it down here somewhere, but it would be a huge expense and logistical exercise for everyone involved. There definitely should be a GP in either NZ or Australia each year though.

I think a single country should only be able to host the event once every ten years or so.

Fark, its been 20 years this year since it was at Manjimup, and its never been to New Zealand. Not sure how we would go for a local crowd, but I'm sure the international crowd has no probs coming to Aus Smile

Kegums in Latvia is one of the best tracks in the world. We`ve been fighting to hold MXDN for almost ten years. So fuck off with your entitlements.

So what you're saying is that the most financially well-off MX nation should have a home MXDN every three years, while the countries who can least afford it and are least likely to host the race should travel every year for decades?

I think the apathy of the moto industry and public to the recent USGP's at Glen Helen sealed the fate of the MXDN coming back to the USA for the next few years.

I'd like to see Australasia hold one, maybe it could even have one before the US,Guiseppe seems to have the hump a bit after the USGP Blink

Btw Kegums is an awesome track, always a great GP there

Of course I'd love to see an MXdN in Australia or New Zealand, but I realise it's also a long way for teams to travel. However the last one here was 20 years ago.

Who cares if the teams have to travel all the way to Australia for a one of event, the WORLD Championship should travel to Australia and or New Zealand each year or at least to this part of the world to a know motocross rider producing country. And the MXD is well and truley over due to come back to this part of the world. Actually hope NZ get one before Aus, just so I have an excuse to get over there Smile

seems to me it's deserved by a couple of things.
1. we are the nation with the most wins
2. the other nations which have been consistently competitive are actually closer to ANY european track than washougal is to budds creek

seems that what the race is about is competition, the best against the best, with consideration for the fairest playing field.

i feel for the Aussies, one of the factors which has held them back could very well been the distance they've had to travel, but their forefathers should've taken that into consideration before moving so damn'd far 'way.

So by having the most wins means you should have the Olympics of MX every second or third year, does that mean the actual Olympics should be held in the US ever eight or twelve years

The MXoN should be rotated around the countries that compete in it now matter where they are finishing

Americans do tend to think that way. Probably a capitalist idea. People who are smart, work smarter, work harder, have more resources, and are successful should benefit from their hard work and those who do not do not benefit nor do we redistribute the wealth of those who have to those who have not (unless it is voluntary by the haves). Big corps have big money, big benefits for employees, lots of money to rent out the amusement park for their employees every year at summer, small companies do not. It is a fact. Smart people go work for the big corps. (or they start their own business and become the giant)

But there are some that believe that small companies deserve these benefits with no work, and no money and the money should be taken from the big companies to pay for the small ones.

It is not because America "deserves" it, it is because America can afford it and has a large population who is willing to go the MXON and pay to see it. I know if it was held anywhere in the US, I would be flying out to see it.

The mxdn is the biggest event our sport has. Why not use it to grow the sport all over the world. France and the US alternating may be awesome for arguably the two strongest countries but it does nothing to grow the sport in every other country. Our I've GP we had here in 01 single handedly gave the sport a kickstart, mxdn would be ten fold that, the US doesn't need that boost, many other countries do, so in my opinion taking it there every 3 years is short sighted.

Why not go to china, imagine if the sport took off there, would only spell good news for all of us. If people occasionally looked outside there backyard with things like this who knows how much better off we'd be.

watching the MXDN is 10x better in a foreign country, than it is, in your own backyard

besides, Budds had a good attendance, but Thunder Valley wasn't great... the uniqueness has worn off both from the American spectators standpoint, and from the Europeans who didn't bother to fly over. A third event, and the crowd would probably start to mimic the GH USGP's.... which would be stupid business move, considering Lommel is probably going to get 50k fans at it

you want to fly to an MXON, fly to Amsterdam this September...

Because I don't want to go there. Why didn't a lot more people from Europe fly to Denver to make the turn out better there?
