Ashley rules! this is really cool for her and the sport:

Reining WMX Champion Ashley Fiolek will make a guest appearance on Conan O'Brien's TBS late night talk show tonight at 11:00 PM EST. “Yeah, this is a huge opportunity for me and the motorcycling community, for sure,” stated Fiolek, who also began taping for a four-episode appearance on ABC Family's scripted drama Switched at Birth.

Scottie....was there any truth in Ashley actually retiring from the racing scene after this season? I hadn't heard if it was a 100% true or not , but if she is , I wonder what her plans are? Going back to school or have a job lined up some where? Either way.....amazing chick and I'm sure she'll be fine whatever she decides to do.

How funny, I auditioned for that show April 16th and there was a deaf girl in the scene. I bet it was Ashley's character. Now THAT would've been cool to work with her.

She was asked that at Hangtown and declined to comment. I would hate to see her hang it up, but my guess is she has bigger plans lined up (on or off the bike).

I'm pretty sure one of the main characters is portrayed as a deaf girl. I think she was the one that was "switched at birth". Hence the running plot to the show.

I used to be into watching Conan back on NBC, but damn he sure gets so annoying nowadays.

@yz753: I know!!! damn she seems all growed up, not the same little girl anymore. Her whole story truly is inspiring, amazing young woman and pretty incredible what she has overcome. (and accomplished)

Growing up i had a great friend of our family who we raced with and was hearing impaired, but he was only about at a 90% loss, so with powerful hearing aids he could hear ok.

Thanks for the Video! I started to watch it. But I couldn't get through monolog.

Conan is just a little too different & rubs me the wrong way.

I agree. It is a truly inspiring story and I think they did a great job.

I can't believe you guys don't like Conan! He's gotten a bit repeatative, but he's way better than that Carson Dailey and Jimmy Fallon. (although Fallon is growing on me)
She was great! That was some really good press for MX.
spd721, They did say she was 2x XGames gold medalist, and Womens Motocross champion a couple times. Not one mention of her TV cameo, so moto got full recognition.
From the interview, it sounds like she might line up with the boys next year? I do wonder "what's next" for her.
