Yes absolutely. Especially with the 4T as that has kind of 'ball and socket' connection.

EDIT

As I recall MXA was pumped on the pipe but said the silencer didn't make that much difference.

I would call Pete Vetrano the distributor (and also the TM distributor) to be sure 909.608.0082

I have the Scalvini set up on my TM 2T complete with the full carbon silencer. It is awesome and completely change how my bike ran. I will say this though, Scalvini Italy has customer service beyond parallel. I had a problem with a weld on my silencer and they sent me brand new silencer!!! I was expecting just a replacement part and they went over and above! I will use their product on all my bikes from now on!

Bummer. I really like the pipe and am picking up a bike in the next couple days that will need a pipe, and would look good with that. But it doesn't look like they have a USFS spark arrestor set up, which I have to have. Big fan of the Leo Vince silencers for build and quietness, and can get a good price on one.

Wanted to pipe in that Michael/Rock sent me an email back then that he confirmed that the pipe will accept other silencers, at least for the application I was looking at.

i have used the pipe, with full carbon silencer, with fmf silencer, and fmf plated fattty with scalvini silencer, i think the stk pipe with scalvini silencer works best but i am a 49 year old "D" rider

Pete your bike looks sick! Did you (or any other yz250 guys) have fitment trouble? I think my tabs are welded on wrong. I just tried to put mine on and:
1) I couldn't slide it on to the cylinder with orings installed
2) If I slide it on without orings, the pipe springs don't even keep tension. they are loose when fit on the tabs to hold them
3) the front lower tab seems to be welded wrong as it is no where near the correct location to fit the front lower mount/adaptor.

Confused!?!

So Pete, I got mine on tonight. I had to shave down the friggin o-rings so it would slide on the cylinder. I shaved down the OD of each o-ring with a dremel.

Looks sick now that it's actually on and is definitely louder than my old Leo Vince silencer. Now I just need new plastics...

Was wondering @Digger29 or any others in here about the Scalvini and using it on an 06' RM 250. Was thinking about the pipe only and was wondering what the HP curve is like? Is it a more bottom end type power or top end? I'm running a FMF Gnarly on my bike now and like the low end grunt.

Motocross Action Magazine wrote this article several years ago. It covers many popular exhaust systems including the Scalvini. There are dyno numbers and everything included. Unfortunately it's for the Yz, but maybe it'll apply to the RM?

If i would ride a 2 stroke these days i would use an Scalvini pipe or if i would be on a budget an HGS pipe.

Hmm? Well it seems like on the YZ 250 at least , that it helped the bottom and mid range over stock. Which is kind of what I was looking for. Actually never ran the stock pipe as this RM of mine came with the gnarly pipe. Maybe I better give this Scalvini a shot.

Damn that pipe looks sweet, proper factory look. What's the longevity like on those type (band welded) pipes?

Sweet, sweet, beautiful pornography. Looks so much better than mine and I can't have it. But I can dream...

Just thought about grabbing one of these set ups for my 144. Not sure on the performance though how do these stack up against pro circuit and FMF ?

@jeffro503 i had a scalvini on my 15 300sx, i also had a pc, fmf, and bills systems, the scalvini was the best imo. My bills was the fake "cone look" pipe, the bills is about the same price as the scalvini but no where near close in quality.

Yeah seems to be a pretty popular pipe. I think here in the next week or so I'll get one ordered up. If they perform any where near as good as they look , I'll be a happy man.

i run the Scalvini pipe and silencer on my TM 300 , really happy with it , i run the long silencer as wanted some more top end and over rev the short one signed off to quick and the 300 doesn't need any more mid range .

another option for the YZ guys in the TYGA pipe , weight and dyno numbers were impressive they have a dealer in USA as well , they also have done a pipe for the KTM 250 but i don't think it has been released yet

last time i was in the UK, i picked up a DEP system- they make a version especially for 144 bigbores; plus their silencer is quite long for Euro spec

What footpegs do you have on the rm125? They look lower than stock..... I have the fastway ones even on the high setting and the have a slight tilt forward and I'm not liking them as much as I thought I would ..... HoweverI need some lower than stock pegs and judging from the tall seat im assuming youre a tall rider

Sorry if I hijacked just needed to know

So the Scalvini pipe (two stroke) will not fit up to any other silencers except the Scalvini? So you have to run the complete system?

You can run a Scalvini pipe and whatever silencer you want from the way I understand it. The link I posted above, said they actually preferred the Scalvini pipe with the YZ stock silencer.

Does anyone know how or where you can get one of these in the states? BTO, RM, and any other dealers I see don't stock or sell them. I've wanted one for awhile now but I don't know where to get one stateside.
