Hey guys...it's been a while since I've posted here. Anyway, I wanted to share this and hope you can find a minute to further this movement to advance a cause very near and dear to my heart. Thanks and I wish you all the best!
I can still remember, 17 years ago, then a 12 year old, rolling out on to the track at the Metrodome...wearing gloves just like my idol, Jeremy McGrath, and later than evening watching the best Supercross riders in the world. I know first hand the impact the stars of Supercross have on children as role models. What better place for a child in the crowd to learn about the growing epidimic that is autism, and how to be a better, more understanding friend to those affected by autism? If one child, or even one parent, leaves the Metrodome on April 13th, 2013 with a better awareness and understanding of autism, the event will be a success. For the past two years, I have tried my hardest to get each rider to wear blue to show support. You see, as a former professional mx'er, not only is my love of the sport strong, but my relationship to autism is even stronger...two years ago, at the age of 2, my oldest son Elijah was diagnosed with autism. If this is a worthy enough cause for supercross stars Trey Canard, Chad Reed, Cody Gilmore and Gavin Faith to support (not to mention FELD's Nuclear Cowboyz), why not the entire pit area? My dream is for every rider in each main to have a small amount of blue and fans in the stands to participate as well...whether it is blue goggles, blue stickers, or blue as a smurf head to toe. This support WILL make a difference. With your help, FELD Entertainment WILL take notice and this dream will come true and a better tomorrow for this with autism will follow!

One thing.. blue-percross? May not come across right on live TV, since thats what supercross seems to be all about these days.
How cool would it be to have a logo for the event and get teams to participate with that logo on helmets, gear, graphics, pit shirts, or anything else? I know sponsorship space is expensive, but it would be cool to see.

Good luck! I have a friend with an autistic child... it's a rough road.

I really hope to see this happen. I work with several kids on the autism spectrum who are very misunderstood among their peers. This as a good opportunity to education kids and the younger generation who may have a class with someone living with autism/aspburgers.
worth watching.

Being on the autism spectrum myself, I'm eager to find ways to help the public better understand what it is to have autism in its many forms.
Hope this gains traction!
THanks for sharing, and thank you for the support! I am really optimistic that this can and will become a reality and will have a huge impact on autism awareness, understanding and acceptance. i will keep you all posted!
