Dont wanna be a dick but that track worker had nothing to do w that crash
Retweeted by Chad Reed
The GoPro wide angle lens makes everything seem a lot farther away. The guy was a lot closer than what it seems on the video. Plus because you cant see the bike on the gopro, you dont get to see that James was probably leaning to the right, but had to steer the bike to left, thus being leaned too much over the right side. In such a long rut, its very difficult to get the bike back up if youre leaned to the side too much, Thats why he crashed so far down the track, trying to hold on.
At least thats what it looked like on the gopro..

Stewart had to go to the left when he saw the guy in the middle of the track - which is what he saw when he hit the top of the jump - and got into the mud and ruts and crashed. Anyone who can't see that is an idiot.
The guy should not have been there PERIOD but james can change lines at a moments notice without crashing.
I'm a Dungey fan but who wants every race to be a yawner?
You idiots have no idea what riding at that speed is like. Just because the wreck happened after the worker got off the track doesnt mean it didnt play a part. Guys like Bubba are thinking 2-3 turns/obstacles/straight-aways ahead. The moment he saw that worker he had to change everything he was doing. That is a thousand different things all of a sudden going thru his head. It's no different than if he had come up on a downed rider unexpectedly. But that isnt what this is about. This has more with people getting the last word than anything.

what a bummer deal.
Rumor has it that GuyB was running across the track in front of Stewart!!! (just kidding ...)
Whether he interfeared with James landing due to the ruts/lines I guess JS7 only knows how much
impact him being there had.I wasnt the one on the bike running that speed in that section ,so I'm not going to judge or make a call on this one.
But I do know those guys are looking well a head when they are running those speeds....
End result whether it was the guys/spectators fault or not is... we are out a top rider who was making the series very exciting.
Get well soon James.
