What a bunch of morons - He obviously was aiming for the right side of the track but had to go left into all the deep ruts, got cross rutted and crashed. If the jackass wasn't running across the track, he'd be sitting in the truck with 25 more points right now. I swear, VitalMX shouldn't let people post if they've never raced. Or at least make a CouchMoto forum for them.
Don't expect many Vitards to understand this.

I can definitely see how that was the main contributing factor at those speeds, frame by frame is pointless when evaluating this one. Also who put that mud there; God or the track crew because that seems a bit excessive on the water unless it was caused by rain.
i know, go figure! MUD, on a motocross track....geesh!

Maybe you are clueless because you cant see that the FMOTP made mistake and crashed all by him self.... again!
bvm youre an idiot!

The GoPro wide angle lens makes everything seem a lot farther away. The guy was a lot closer than what it seems on the video. Plus because you cant see the bike on the gopro, you dont get to see that James was probably leaning to the right, but had to steer the bike to left, thus being leaned too much over the right side. In such a long rut, its very difficult to get the bike back up if youre leaned to the side too much, Thats why he crashed so far down the track, trying to hold on.

At least thats what it looked like on the gopro..

I think the complete opposite.

I think if you have raced you will know that that guy had nothing to do with James binning it all by himself in the rut. It happened about 20-30 yards further down the track and James still had numerous lines to choose from.

He crashed all by himself.
How long do you think it takes to travel 20-30 yards at the speed he was going?

Fuck him. And Reed. If the same thing had happened to Reed, Lindstrom would be out there with a big wrench looking for the guy.

Stewart had to go to the left when he saw the guy in the middle of the track - which is what he saw when he hit the top of the jump - and got into the mud and ruts and crashed. Anyone who can't see that is an idiot.

As a racer I understand I may have to change up my line at a moments notice, flagger, downed rider, hay bale in the track or a large rock will all cause racer to change up a line quickly and frequently.

The guy should not have been there PERIOD but james can change lines at a moments notice without crashing.

twmx tweeted that js7 will most likely not make the second moto.Sad
That's a real bummer. If true, I don't think there's really anyone out there healthy who can run with RD.
I'm a Dungey fan but who wants every race to be a yawner? Sad

Well I'm not sure but I would guess you've never ridden as fast as james.. In James mind he is probably already hitting the gas for the next corner, things happend quick for them and all of the sudden a guy crosses the track and you have to rethink something you already have gone through

Just got off the phone with a friend who is pitting for Kevin Rookstool. He got the whole crash on video and said all the media guys are trying to buy it from him. I told him to sell it to GuyB.

He said Stewart lost his balance in that section, held the throttle on, and it catapulted him over the bars. Said the track worker had nothing to do with it.
he can upload it to youtube and make money off the views. and the views will be massive.

Guess I'm an idiot then as I don't seem him alter his line on iota. Either way the guy was likely a huge distraction and I agree with a previous poster that the wide angle gopro makes it look like that guy was a lot farther away than reality.

Now would be a prime time for GuyB to break out the broom. A lot of jackasses taking pleasure in Bubba going down. If not downright hate, there's plenty of fishing/trolling at Bubba's expense. Every clown thats been silent that last 2 weeks is now coming out of the woodworks to say "I told you it wasnt the Yamaha".

You idiots have no idea what riding at that speed is like. Just because the wreck happened after the worker got off the track doesnt mean it didnt play a part. Guys like Bubba are thinking 2-3 turns/obstacles/straight-aways ahead. The moment he saw that worker he had to change everything he was doing. That is a thousand different things all of a sudden going thru his head. It's no different than if he had come up on a downed rider unexpectedly. But that isnt what this is about. This has more with people getting the last word than anything.

From what I saw when Stewart was going up the face of the jump and in mid-air the track worker was directly in front of him crossing the track and that was one of the fastest and slickest parts of the track. Stewart probably said "WTF!" when he saw the guy in front of him and lost concentration for a split second and that's all it took.

Read this about Tommy Hahn:

Ping posted: "Tommy Hahn got hit with a rock and broke his finger”

reply: Correct and it looks nasty!

what a bummer deal.

It seems strange that Stewart would crash on a straight / little curve all by himself. I just hope he makes it back for moto 2 so we still have a exciting championship! There is always controversy around Stewart. It just keeps stalking him Tongue

Rumor has it that GuyB was running across the track in front of Stewart!!! (just kidding ...)

Stewart had no clue what the guy was going to do. Imagine what was going through his mind, he didnt know if the guy was going to turn around and run back across the track. I mean if he's dumb enough to walk on the track during a race who knows what else he could do. I knew the first time stewart messed up buncha kids would talk smack again. hilarious.

bottom line, some will say the guy crossing the track caused it, some will say it didn't. everyone has an opinion and the only person that knows is james....

Barron, that didnt look like a flagger to me,looked like a SPECTATOR with a back pack crossing the track.
Whether he interfeared with James landing due to the ruts/lines I guess JS7 only knows how much
impact him being there had.I wasnt the one on the bike running that speed in that section ,so I'm not going to judge or make a call on this one. Smile
But I do know those guys are looking well a head when they are running those speeds....

End result whether it was the guys/spectators fault or not is... we are out a top rider who was making the series very exciting.

Get well soon James.
