James made the mistake and James did what he could to fix the mistake...and it looks like it paid off.

RV coulda been at hangtown...the outcome would have been the same i'm afraid. Smile

Like counting your chicks before they are hatched, it is too early to say for sure. Though I must admit it is looking good. But what if James starts crashing again? Then what do you say? I say wait and see that is why we have a championship series to make sure it is not just one race, or that you are good on one track, or better on one track condition. I hope James is fixed, whether it be the bike or in his mind.

Don't start with the "Couklda-shoulda-woulda" and "What if" bullshit Bobby! To me....RD looked to be off the pace....as by how hard he pulled away from your favorite rider out there MA......what 12 seconds? Isn't it usually 30 - 60 friggin' seconds? That is what him and RV were doing last year........This year......if you want to play the "What if" guessing game......there would of been nobody....and I mean nobody that would of ran with RV.

Always easy to talk shit when a rider is down.......but you guys sure don't have shit to say when RV is out there do you? Where the fuck were these comments over the past 2 friggin' years? Ya Fuggin' shit starter.

To me, it looked like James was riding at about 80%, kinda like he was just riding around. I'd be willing to be he could kick it up a notch still, he rode as fast as he needed to to win....

What is impossible is this: No one can say whether or not Stewart would have still one had RV or Reed been there. And no one can say whether or not Reed or RV would have won had they been there. They were not there and we are all the poorer for it. Stewart was there. Dungey was there. Stewart won. That's it.

Just playing Devils advocate,but could it be that some people only think James is giving it his all when he crashes? And when he doesn't crash they say he's just holding back and cruising? I don't know. I thought he looked GREAT! I thought Dungey looked off and the suspension looked a little ragged. And No way would Baggett's times be near his big Green brother RV's times had he been there and healthy ,IMHO. That being said,I'm glad James is back and happy on the Zook. Hope we get some good,clean,safe battles all summer long.

Stewart only rode outdoors on the Yamaha once, who is to say he wouldn't have gone 1-1 on it at Hangtown this year? SX and the Nationals are very different animals.

The yami has problems. Sure anyone can ride it, and some can finish ok on it. But ride it at the level James needs to, or Reed etc and it will bite you. Period. Yami, and certain others in the industry have avoided this truth the last few years. But it is fact that thier revolutionary design just doesn't feel like any other bike out there. And not in a good way.

Yamaha is now stuck. They desperately want to fix the bike and hope this all just goes away. But now even with the help of a team with the most capable shop and the fastest man on the planet they got egg on thier face. Going back to the same designs as the other 4 would also be an admission. Eventually this will all be behind us when they finally concede and conform.

And now James can start working on MC's record in 2013.

I said that nobody would of beaten RV with the way he had been riding as of late.....but I can't say with 100% certainty that he would have beaten Stewart. James did look like he was on a Sunday cruise.....and only he knows how much more he had in the tank. To me....he looked like he only rode as fast as "he needed to " to win this past weekend. I think he had plenty left , but then again as I have said , " To me " Dungey looked to be off a little

I'm an RV fan for sure....since he's from my neck of the woods.......but I was happy as hell to see Stewart ride that good this past weekend. It means we have another contender out there for the outdoors.....and it looks like he'll be out there for a few more years......and as a fan of this sport.....it makes me happy as hell!

For this year though.....I think RD has more ground to make up than what we saw....as I think Stewart wasn't any where near 100% out there.

A confident James, is a fast Bubba. Whether it was the Yamaha, or in is head, who cares! Hope Dungey gets comfortable and picks up the pace. Heck, want Villipodium out there too. Still, it looks like a summer of great racing. 24 and Oh? Please, "NO".

Who wants to watch that? Thirty second leads from dynasty riders aren't any fun to watch. Yes, they're exciting, but they're not any fun. Sport needs diversity, 7-9 guys that are capable of running up front. Think that is coming to fruition with the semi departure of Factory teams.

Still like to see more of a production rule. Think it would equal the field up quite a bit.

James didn't get along with the Yamaha like Reed didn't get along with the Kawasaki. It doesn't mean the Yamaha is bad, it just didn't suit him. I remember when everyone was raving about the 1987 CR250 and how great it was. I bought one and hated it. It just wasn't for me for whatever reason.
