More on Lawrence

Davey Coombs has reported that the AMA has suspended Jason Lawrence indefinitely, so he will not be racing this weekend at Red Bud, and possibly not for the rest of the 2008 season. In addition, the $25,000 fine that was posted as probable to Lawrence after the Freestone National for a rental car incident has now been collected and donated to the Asterisk Mobile Medical unit.
The kid has all the natural talent in the world, and will waste a lifetime oppportunity jerking around. He's probably not a bad person at all, but he hasn't learned any decision making skills in his 18 years. If he doesn't start soon, he'll either be in jail or dead, and then it won't matter.
Hope he gets something going before it's too late.

Commenting on his childhood and how he was raised is absolute bullshit. What gives any of you guys the right to question the way he was raised? Insert stupid he's a professional athlete in who represents the ama and yamaha and blah blah blah bullshit here. He's a human, no different than any other 21/22 yr old except he can blast a dirt bike around a motocross track like few others on the planet.
So take all of your he didn't have parents, he no one raised him good bullshit and eat it because you know nothing about anything.
Since when did it become illegal for an American to celebrate the 4rth of July? As long as he put in a top 35 time the next day who cares how late he is up? He doesn't have to perform till sunday, which he has done every moto this year besides mechanical failures.
These riders are performing everyday, and living everyday to be their best. Jason isn't doing that. How he grew up may or may not have anything to do with how he operates today, but most of us are a product of our environment.
If you know or have known any top level riders, you'd know that to be true.

None of our business how he was raised.
He is an adult with signed personal contracts that most likely all have clauses for behavior DETRIMENTAL to those companies he is contracted with.
He races with a license. The license distributor also is the sanctioning body that provides the venues for him to perform his craft and earn the large amount of money he does. A pro license can be revoked for conduct DETRIMENTAL TO THE SPORT.
He earned the license, but not to make a mockery of it and the show the AMA with its own sponsor Toyota headline the series.
Simple as that.
I will back Jay 100% from the constant bashing and over the board posts, hes my friend. He did what he did and now will have to live with the consequenses.
