have my new to me RMZ torn all the way down to be compleatly rebuilt.

.i normally i wouldn't concern myself with the "bling" but sense its apart i think im gonna do it right and make it pretty..

the forks need to be re-anodized and while i was doing that i was gonna do the triple clamps, rims and hubs as well

ive always been a fan of RMZs with the factory gold rims and fork look..

if i do that do i go black hubs and black triple clamps?

or should i go all black??

open to suggestions and if anybody has some pics to go along with it id really appreciate it!! thanks!!

Personally I think black wheels are the only way to go. Black with gold hubs or even red would look sweet on a RMZ.

I'd go black wheels and gold hubs. Tough to beat that combo on an RMZ.. The gold wheel kind of clashes with the yellow IMO

Not a good pic of the wheels, but should give you an idea.

I went with black rims and black hubs. Stainless spokes and gold spoke nipples. hey look great. Got it all from Rad manufacturing. Very good people to deal with.

Agree...Black Rims with Red Hubs would look killer! Red Triple Clamps would add a nice touch.

here is the before pic haha

paid 750$ for it

got it almost totally torn down..going through the whole bike...

needed a left side radiator and a new head

putting a new piston and cams and timing chain

getting the suspension revalved

07 rad shrouds, step seat..got some new twinwalls that can go on it and some new rubber...should be a fun bike..

in the meantime ill be trying to make the two smokes in the background sing..

original owner was an idiot and needlessly took the cams out to adjust the timing chain and didnt tighten the exhaust cam cover back down...

whoops

my buddy is going to weld the cam journal and remachine it but im leery about running a welded cam cover...i dont know if he is going to be able to pull it off but its worth a try..if he can it will save me 600$ +/-

Drives me nuts when people call the factory rims gold.

Gold rims all the way on the RMZ. As far as the triple clamps go, you could go with just about any color you wanted.

Thanks LOL, but there are gold wheels out there, the cheaper versions. Like I said factory yellow excels with silver talon hubs.

Black looks good on any bike, but it really looks good on the Suzuki's I think. Yellow like Brett Metcalfe uses is sick too! But I think that's only a factory look... Black or Yellow IMO.

Mettys Rmz uses the excel factory yellow, the excels are Yellow, the off brands use a off gold color. The rims metty uses can be purchased, probably using factory hubs though.
