Since it appears to be gopro week, I figured I'd throw my first helmet cam vid out there. Actually, it's my second vid but I got second in the first moto so I'll keep that to myself. It's unedited, right off the camera so hang in there.

Nice video. That was fun. I felt like I was riding a 500AF in the race.

Nice track. Nice almost-holeshot from the longest line into the first turn.

Loving the 500 horsepower at 4m 51s.

Looks like a fun, safe track with some really fast sections.

Get the impression you have to be mighty ginger with that throttle

It's amazing how fast you go on one of those at such low RPM.

I'm always a bit surprised at how fast I get to the next turn.

Deer Run MX is a really cool track. We love racing there. There was a limb laying in the back section where someone went off track. The limb to the helmet cam was almost every lap. The 500 requires a huge amount of throttle control or you'll be on your rear end quickly. The track watering was a little sketchy.

I'm uploading another vid now. I'll throw it up here soon. I got the holeshot in that moto but ended up second.

First video is from +30 class, the second will be from +25. It's a pay class so it sometimes attracts a little faster competition.

More of the same. The CR500 peaks around 6500 rpm so even though it sounds like it's lugging, most of the corner exits involve a wheelie of some sort. This was the last moto of the day. I got a little tired here and probably wasn't as motivated as I should have been.

One complaint I have about the GoPro is that it takes away a lot of the elevation features. Tracks look too flat. The triple on the long fast straight is about 100' or so and has about a 25' up hill elevation to it, then when you turn right you drop off down a hill and back up the other side, then again as you come back through that same valley to a tricky little step-up double with about 12' elevation into a bowl turn.

What a beautiful day for MX. BTW, that guy who pulled the holeshot in the other vid just turned 56 the day before the race. Some days I think I should feel bad for getting beat by an old guy. Then I think, I hope I can still go like that when I'm 56.

Pleas post more videos from youtube with the Service Honda CR500AF. I would like to post a video on here from youtube but do not know how. The rider in the vid his name is Jack Garrabrant #358. He has two videos on there I would like all to watch. Especially all these non beleivers who just hate to admit that there are better bikes out there that will beat the 450f's. So if you don't think the CR500AF is faster, well you will after you watch these video's. Or just maybe you will get passed by one at the track..!Tongue

Great video! Amazing how fast you were going, 'cause the bike sounded like it was out for a Sunday cruise.

That thing lofts you easily. I felt sorry for everyone behind your rear tire. I think one of the reasons why I dislike those bikes so much is following them. That and they vibrate way too much for me. Following would be first on the list.

Nicely done. Enjoy the ride.

Thanks for all the kind words. I get more comments from folks at the track about how good the bike sounds than you can believe. The owner of one track turned to another the first week I had it and said, "that is the best sounding CR250 I've ever heard.". His son replied, "that's because it's a 500 dad."

I love the bike but I must admit, I'd be much faster on a 450. I usually adapt to a bike pretty quickly but it took me a solid year to learn to ride this bike right. Some of that could have been due to the serious injury I had leading up to buying it. But, these bikes are hard to ride.

I'm just curious....

Did you learn to ride on a 4T? What made it so difficult for you?
