They were breaking the law by speeding, and obviously there is more to the story. Simply blowing past Bubba wouldnt cause him to chase them down. They were either tailgating or weaving through traffic like they owned the joint. That is speculation on my part, but it is somewhat informed speculation.
Was pulling them over stupid? In hindsight, yes, but only cause they got caught. Which gets us into all sorts of philosophical debate over whether which is worse, the "crime" or getting caught. Often in our society, getting caught is seen as worse.
"Dumb" is very different than "wrong". Rape is wrong. Molestation is wrong. Abuse is wrong. Pulling over some asshole driver to tell them to slow down, isnt wrong. The only thing that made it "wrong" or "dumb" in most peoples eyes is that they ended up being cops.
And it certainly doesnt make Bubba an ASSHOLE or deserving of any of the bullshit he and his family get on these forums. Which is why I interjected myself into this conversation in the first place. We are all mx'ers at heart. Which means we ALL have a wild streak. We've all done stupid things that would be considered taboo or outside the limits of societies standards. None of us should be judging. Bubba started to take shit and look like an asshole the moment he started challenging RC. And from that moment on it was the RC vs Bubba fantard olympics. And most the RC fans are now Dungey or RV fans so its just carried right on over. Im assuming that despite our philosophical differences on right/wrong, we probably both agree with my last few statements here.
And the reason why many will say he is just a kid, is because at age 26, for a pro athlete (pro mxer no less), 26 is still a very young age between the ears. All pro entertainers and athletes that have been in the limelight since they were children will have some form of arrested development. That is just human nature. It comes with the territory. It's why athletes need handlers that keep them out of trouble until they reach "adulthood". And in my experience, with the athletes I know and have worked with, that doesnt come til the late 30s/early 40s in just about 95% of the cases. 26 to you and me is not 26 to a professional. You or I would be no different had we experienced that life. Some of us understand that, and its why there is some compassion for when these kids fuck up. Bubba's buddy in the car let him down. Big James should have better people surrounding Bubba IMO, but that has always been the case.
Maybe torco should gif bomb this bitch!
In just before the dumbgeon.

But the SAME James Stewart:
And in that universe... James Stewart is, and will always be, a great Champion and "the best there ever was"!
There are enough words in a language, that when used creatively together, you can no longer see, smell or
taste the bullshit.
Hmmm... I got it. It was both dumb and wrong. LOL
Whilst the Stewart family is under scrutiny, this SX season has shown that Malcolm Stewart is very good practice rider, able to lay down fast lap times, but he isn't a racer!, hasn't yet learned how to read a race, as shown with his poor results in the East coast series.

Is an underachiever? Wow! Do I really need to say anything about Alessi except where and how many titles does he have?
I have no doubt that not only James, but his fans expected more, but to characterize James as an underachiever, let alone make an attempt to characterize that underachievement as even remotely the same as Alessi is so far out there, I really don't know what to say.....
But the Alessi's and Stewarts wouldnt be the first moto family to fall far short of their expectations. Nobody had a more disappointing race career when factoring in their talent, than Pastrana did. And he didnt have a over-involved race dad. Just playing devils advocate here. Not disagreeing with you.
Apparently, neither did the FIM, which is why the name was changed to "XXXX XXXXX, an FIM World Championship."
BTW for expedience sake, I copied and pasted from Wik. I have no problem with you correcting the record if you feel the need, but let's stay on topic.
Do feel Bubba is and underachiever and please tell me how many and what type of titles does Alessi have that are comparable to Bubba?
this amazing internet formula, anonymity + audience = vitards...
Pit Row
Really? No one would believe this if I made it up.
I love the people here!
motoplook is a funny motherfucker also.
Give the dam bike to someone who will ride it outside.......
Most of these guys don't ride let alone ride well. They all know more about how Stewarf should set up his bike and who he should ride for than he does.
Give credit where its due.
And lets not forget the 24-0 stat.
Your dislike for James is no secret, but you still wont give him the credit for what he has done in this sport.
Its a shame really.
