Well, Jorge dominated every practice and every moto, I guess he was super lucky. And being signed by KTM Austria at 11 y/o is not that impressing either.

Throw any up to 11 y/o yank and Jorge will smoke him. In euro style tracks, that is.

I didn't say I wasn't impressed that he was signed by KTM. That is an accomplishment however I wasn't impressed by that video. Have him show up in the States and qualify for Loretta's. He'll be lucky to be top 5.

I came back home from california just 4 days ago. I can se why you think that. There the tracks are so well prepped and fast, as soon as some bumps apear the tractor would come out and rip them. The tracks there make the riders look faster, even I looked like a pro sometimes!
Bingo!!! I was going to comment on how refreshing it was to watch someone ride on a track that is not perfectly groomed. So sick of freeways with jumps.

The kid is really not that fast. Jordan Bailey as a 9 year old was faster. Jake Pinhancos would have smoked him. A bunch of Fast kids coming up in the 65 class that would put a spanking on that young man. Sorry but this is all true. U.S. talent is just that much higher! I don's think he would crack top ten at LL's

Big difference between this kid and your boys is he's WORLD CHAMPION and has a KTM factory contract in his back pocket!
Keep on dreaming your American kids are faster!, but welcome to the real world not Disneyland!Wink Laughing Laughing

Easy there bud, you aren't helping our case using Jake and Jordan as examples, they are fast kids, but we have 3 kids just in my state that have those two covered, Forkner (Also "World Champion"), Stack, and Kobusch. No doubt Jorge is fast, and I think the video doesn't do his speed justice, he probably rips on a 65 usually kids stepping up from 65's coast a lot on 85's with the extra power, which is what stuck out in that video to me. Just an FYI, our fastest 10-11 year olds race 85's, thats how our system works over here with the supported rider's, we have a few 9 year olds too that would give your "World Champ" a good race.
Are you saying you think Kobush has Bailey covered?

The kid is fast and who knows who would win. BUT, that track he was on was not rough at all. There are some nice little rollers and smooth turns. Can you say freeway? Lets see some axle deep ruts through the corners and some mean kicker braking bumps going in. How about the face of every jump with big deep grooves that will rip your feet off the pegs if your not ready. Groomed or not, when there is tons of sand and sawdust, American tracks get gnarly in a hurry. I know your going to bring up your sand tracks. Guess what, most of our tracks are all sand now and get rough as hell quick. Besides, most of the kids in the States that are mentioned above are not riding prepped practice at Glen Helen or LE. You will find them burning up beat up practice tracks in there backyard.

The kid looks good and fast and good luck to him on a great career. Who knows, he might make it over here someday!

Some unrivalled arrogance from more than one member in this thread.
Unbelievable how a small minded few can confuse ignorance with patriotism to the point where anything outside of their beloved country either doesn't qualify or doesn't exist.

The bottom line is you need to prove you are the best in the world by racing against the best in the world. That means going to the World Championship (as Eli Tomac did) and proving yourself. LL's is just a domestic championship and holds no more merit than any other domestic championship in any other country in the world.

Just so Y'all know, we all aren't arrogant ass holes. Are there fast kids here? Yes. Does that kid look good to me? Yes.

Best of luck to the young lad on his future in MX.

You obviously didn't ride at Glen Helen, the place is brutal on practice days.

I rode there and loved it! It was a generalitzation. Yes GH got pretty rough at the end of the day, but I wouldn't say brutal. Cahuilla was pretty outdoorish too. But they get ripped for the enxt day so never gets as rough as in Europe.

And I am not negative in any ways, I enjoyed every minute over there!

LL's qualification system is a bit hard on euros, maybe mini o's are better for us. I don't think Jorge's parents are loaded so it will depende on what KTM wants. But Jorge wants to race in the US, that I have no doubt.

Good spotting!
And yes the first part of my post was referring to you.

The really funny thing is how many fast guys have come to the states and mixed it up with the top pros (even won championships) without ever going to LL's.

What I hate most at the races, especially the assholes that push little Johhny to the brink but have never done a jump in their pathetic existence.

He had a 9th and 16th in Italy and was 3-4 seconds off Garcia's best lap time each time they took to the track.

I've ridden Glen Helen, its the nearest I seen to the rough tracks of Europe,(Bagget had a surprise),the tracks over there seem to be very crowd freindly, fast, smooth nice rollers and big jumps for big whips etc,Pala says it all,its just the way its going, the tracks only get 1 day of racing on them to be fair though too

Not all the fastest kids are at LL either, just let them all have fun and ride and don't put too much pressure on them,it seems that it might just fuck them up
