Week or so ago someone else started the "spoke with my wallet", 2 stroke bike purchase - thought I would add mine. Hope mine doesn't end up like the other KTM thread on here...
[Not too keen that you have to take half the bike apart to get the side panels off (and it's going to be pricey to ever replace), but gave me an excuse to take it apart and grease it up

I'm not brand loyal...

Unfortunately I won't be riding it for a while, out the shop window this morning...

Nice, nothing like unboxing a new bike, that should give you a big grin when you ride her... when the snow clears of courseTongue

How soon we forget what expansion chambers look like. It's either a 150 or 125.

It's a 150sx, it was on a dealers floor about 600 miles from me, we worked out a deal to ship it to me so they put it in a crate they had from another bike (250xc sticker on box).

The 250f is an '09. It has low hours, think it will be for sale in spring....

My last 2 stroke was about 8 years ago, I always ran Golden Spectro premix, never had an problems in about 15 years of riding/racing. Is that stuff still good to use? Like to stick with what worked in the past.

Now I just have to get my old out of shape self into condition to use this like it was made. Been getting lazy running the 250f the last couple of years...

I wouldn't worry about replacing the side panels, they seem pretty indestructible to me. I used to go through rad scoops and rear fenders on an almost weekly basis with my Honda. I havent snapped a KTM plastic yet touch wood

Good stuff man congrats, glad you spoke with your $, instead of complaining and then buying a 10 year old 2 stroke, lol. Spectro is good stuff, most ktm dudes i know use motorex. But imo, any good quality 2 strok oil is good, jet it right, right ratio, and my buddies swear by c12 vp race fuel in the smokers. Braaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Haters gonna hate. hahaha. Nice set up dude. From the looks of all the things you own, you "speaking with your wallet" to buy a 150sx is the equivalent to me "speaking with my wallet" and buying a 40 down at the liquor store.

Nice, really nice! Private track? Holy crap!

Nice....congrats! I used to run spectro too. To be honest, just use a made for racing 2 cycle synthetic oil . I currently use Amsoil Dominator but only cause I get a deal. I swore by Klotz R32 in the past. My internals looked new every time I ripped my bikes apart. C12 is a definite for me. I do however cut it 50/50 with premium pump gas then mix 40:1. Never had an issue, never blew up a bike since a hybrid 2001 cr125 with a yz piston I had that RRP f'd up grenaded.....Dave

Thanks for all the compliments. Not rich, just my wife and I both work, don't have kids and live within our means. Haven't gone on a real vacation since our honeymoon and when we do projects for the house/garage we do most of the work ourselves. The garage is 24x40, wish it was bigger but wasn't going to take a loan out to build a garage. 2x6 walls so we could use R21 insulation, 9' ceilings and has a 14x40 studio upstairs for my wife. She said we could build a shop if she could get a studio. Did all the work except concret and plastering ourselves. Here's a couple pictures of the progress

Out of shape, Brian you're the guy that used to road bike to the races 60 miles away!

I hear Denmark is no longer. We had some good times there!

See you at gravity? And yes, I'm going to ask if I can ride it!
