Very very cool Guy... Doug has been my favorite rider since witnessing his first win at Hangtown.. They just don't make them like Doug anymore. Thanks for doing this Vid.

My big takeaway memory from last weekend will be Doug passing me in the air over a tabletop. Smile

If there is anyone that knows how dangerous our sport is it's Doug Henry. Yet here he is still twisting up a heavy roost...and tells you straight - I can't stop and I can't just ride around. His life is still out there on that edge.
Once again Doug, you've left me inspired!
Live it.

Anyone not a fan of Doug, is just clueless! He is up there with Pastrana with interaction with the fans.

and consider all the prep, the R&D to develop that bike. I know Ricky laid the ground work for many to come but he's very much like the real men of Moto before him that had to dream, consider, build, test, crash and then start all over again. He just keeps evolving.
That's what makes our sport so cool, it's guys like that. Always trying to get the most out of a dirt bike, life.
Respect.

After Ricky's big crash at Pala in 2010 that ended his two wheeled riding adventure he wishes he had that cage that Doug designed.

Props to D.H.

When you look up the word HERO in the dictionary there should be a picture of Doug Henry.

Hopefully his recent success in caged trucks, be it off road or on road, will fulfill his "need for speed." Once you reach a certain level in moto, it's hard to turn that off, it's either all or none as DH said in this interview . If your son has chosen "none" it's probably for the best and much respect for that difficult decision, props to RJ and DH.

Yeah, what Swap said, all the riding videos and other interviews are good but this one just tops them all.

Doug is such an inspiration it's crazy. I'm glad he can still do what he loves and having the balls to do it, is even more incredible. I have one question about something though. I don't remember when it was , but I was almost positive it was at a ceremony of some kind after his second bad wreck. He was actually standing up at the podium when he spoke to the audience. I'm pretty sure it was after the second one , and I had thought he was making progress , as in I thought he had some use of his legs? This happened I think about 4 -5 years ago if I remember correctly. Does anyone know the full story on this? Does he have partial movement and not 100% paralyzed? Either way.....the guy is a living legend in this sport no matter what! And he can still haul the friggin' mail on top of it!

Doug uses leg braces and crutches to stand.

Really cool vid. I did not know about he seat shock setup he has. Makes sense because, as he said, casing on your frame has got to feel good on the ol' back.

He is an inspiration!

True inspiration and what an amazing person he is... and ever been. I have so many memories from Doug in his prime, it's mixed feelings seeing him riding. Very happy that he still can ride, but at the same time very sad to see a champion sit in a wheelchair like that.

Doug Henry is a cool cat. I hope that some day my son and I will get to meet him or maybe even ride with him.
