Riding with emotion is fine, aggressive racing is fine, laying it all on the line is fine. Giving up on a race and intentionally waiting an entire lap just to ride back onto the track to block someone and take them out of the race is not professional.

Fair play to him for coming back and apologising for overreacting though.

Not hating on Barcia here, but I wouldn't give him too much credit. I'd bet that the apology wasn't his idea, and more likely instigated by team management/sponsors.

If Barcia was man enough to take the hits he gives out I'd liken him to the Intimidator. You know when he's behind you that IF he is faster he WILL make room if you don't. Only problem is you can't intimidate if you back down. You just instigate. Barcia is now The Instigator. Cheerful

more like , the frenchies knew he was going to win and kick their ass so they booted him.

Aranda had it coming and if he was any other nationality but french dressing , Barcia would be still racing

I bet Barcia hardly gives a shit , there is no purse money so he losing nothing and probably got 50k or more just to show up

The problem I have is the hypocrisy of Barcia.... Aranda took him out ACCIDENTLY and Barcia freaks and ruins Arandas race then runs away when Aranda challenges him.. he did the same last year with with Izoird and got booed out of the stadium. When Barcia takes people out constantly ON PURPOSE he thinks its fine, yet when he gets a taste of his own medicine he freaks out.

Props to him for apologising though...he must have seen a replay and realised it wasn't on purpose... must have felt pretty stupid... the crowd really gave it to him as well after the main. lol

Don't know why he didn't race the final?

Nice guy off the track, but can be crazy and dangerous on it. Dungey wasn't too happy with him at Unadilla either... Barcia just seems to to take aggressive riding too far but not like it when he gets it back.He riles a lot of riders up with his antics... it cost cost him big time some day.

Great rider, but needs to calm down... maybe if he raced the 450 full time that would help him.

Barcia is the perfect of example of someone that can dish it out but can't take it. I'm sick of that crap. He's clearly the dirtiest rider on any track but cries like a bitch when someone else does it to him. Booohooooo
We are, in the most profound sense, children of the Cosmos. Think of Barcia's exhaust heat on your upturned face on a cloudless summer's day; think how dangerous it is to gaze at Barcia's silencer directly. From 50 million moto-laps away, we recognize his power. What would we feel on its seething self-luminous surface, or immersed in its heart of nuclear fire?

Having not looked at what happened, I already know that those defending him are his fans and those questioning it are objective moto fans.

Yeh... Each rider does something someone doesnt like hes still JB17 and a rising star! And hes not really the dirtiest... Hes just not the friendliest... Who wants to watch a bunch of guys on the track letting ppl pass then instead of holding their line or rubbing bars with someone? Thats like watching a track full of MIKE ALESSIs....... That would be boring.
It is always so boring when guys don't make contact. It's like that moto last year where RV passed Dungey in the last turn. Stupid RV made it so boring, it would have been so awesome if he had punted Dungey on lap 3. Now THAT'S racing!

We do not understand human behavior well enough to be sure of the mechanisms underlying these relationships, although we can conjecture. But the correlations are significant.

Having seen the video now (posted in another thread) I can safely say that was a pretty douchey move on Barcia. How he ever thought for a second that was an "on-purpose" is beyond logic. To wait an entire lap and do what he did is further beyond logic. Then to puss out when Aranda was coming to say hello? The trifecta is complete. Embarassing.

The yield of the Hiroshima bomb was only thirteen kilotons, the equivalent of thirteen thousand tons of Barcia roost flying past the Euro's as they try to catch him.
