Gannon will climb aboard his 2012 KTM 250 SX-F to contest the Lites class of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross and Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship series. 2011 was Gannon’s rookie season and he finished 13th overall in the Monster Energy Supercross Lites series point standings on the East Coast where he had two podium finishes. Those would be podium finishes.
PR is marketing. Marketing in general is shameless and "creative".
Podium TV time = Thank sponsors
Even if it's an LCQ, it's still TV time to thank sponsors.
A team like Dragon Fuels/AG Motorsports/Cernics KTM wants a rider that can get on the podium, even if it's in an LCQ.
(It is an interesting find, tho!)
1. The act of being nit-picky to a ridiculous degree.
2. To meticulously analyze minutia.
Best of luck to Gannon in 2012, and I would not be surprised to see him land on the podium this year.
