DV has always been a strait shooter....and that's why I dig him. When the time is right , he'll come in here and let us know. He'll find a soft spot to land on , and keep on a runnin'!
Couldn't agree more...he's one canny Frog (notice the capitalized F in Frog...that's a sign of respect...lol). There ain't no moss on DV...he probably has a 2nd and 3rd back up plan ready to set in motion. Best of luck DV...fill us in when you can.

Or perhaps they're changing brands as has already been suggested...?

Vuillemin has devoted his entire career to Yamaha, his loyalties lie with them. In other words, he won't quit Yamaha.

He raced a Suzuki for a year and also a Kawi in his last year in the GP's before he retired and dont forget about the infamous BooKoo Honda....and MDK. Smile
Maybe MotoConcepts is thinking of going SX only in 2012.
Maybe that is why he is parting ways....who knows, could even be both.

What I meant is that he kinda bleeds blues. True he raced a few seasons on different brands but he's always been a Yamaha guy.

I don't have any inside info here, but because we're all sitting around and bench racing, it wouldn't surprise me to see a blending of the Motoconcepts and Alessi programs.

Remember, that's pure speculation.

If I had to deal with the Alessis at my work place I'd probably look for a new job as well. Can't blame DV if it's the case.

No they were NOT stroker motors. I don't know what would be acceptable confirmation for you but I can tell you I work at MDK, I built motors for them, and I know the head of the motor dept. Erich Shofstall, the head engineer Dr. Simon Jackson and the owner of the Speed Equipment divison Pete Hann are were all professionals building the best motors money could buy. MDK was accused of cheating many times because their motors were fast but they never resorted to cheating....

Really? So the staff is dropping like flies then at this point bevause of what's going on? Can't wait for the official word but if it's the Alessis that would make sense for staff to start splitting. I would!

I probably wouldn't have advised DV to leave. If it is the Alessi's joining the team it would be the perfect opportunity to try and make a guy that seems to be going downhill relevant again. If it didn't work out no one would think less of him.

Let me get this straight...

Supposedly......

Glen Helen loses the USGP,

DC is "over" Pala,

USA loses the MX des Nations (vintage that is),

Suzuki lays off about 30 employees and hands off its race team,

Mitch strong arms Kawi into firing Fish over the FMF thing,

Genova cuts DV loose in favor of Tony Alessi (and Mike),

MA800 flips off the Dunge,

and BT101 races in a stadium and walks away unscathed.

With all due respect, my mind is blown.

Next somebody will be claiming that JS7 is riding Suzukis....Wink

mike seems like a good kid, has his moments, but to turn into a hater because of an emotion filled event at the MEC is lame. dude told it like it is in the press conference, so what he wanted to keep his position. that's one thing about Alessi, he'll never just pull out of the way for anyone.

oh, and back on topic... good luck to DV wherever and whatever he ends up doing

And there it is.

Who would want to have to endure Tony Alessi?

Really? You're going to drop that into this thread, instead of starting a new one?

Remember our discussion in the other thread about rocket surgeon material? Is it okay if I call you doc rocket? Or would you prefer something more formal? Wink

Yeah, that makes sense.
I did see this last week....not sure if there is any link.
But you never know...

"DV: We were talking to a hire a rider and he wanted to run engine X, suspensions Y and pipe Z. Now, he is using A, B & C. Makes no sense!"
