i feel he peters out fairly quick at the mec race.starts r fine , but just cant stay the pace.
solution;alden baker comes to mind.
also, slim down a bit.all about that strength to weight ratio .plus baker may put alessi in a better mind set.
my2 cents for what its worth.

I'd go with "to pull his head out of his ass."

he needs a hand with that.
he is either a mental basket case during the heat of the battle, or lacking proper conditioning for the fast pace or both.
sadley,it would take about a year with the right person/people to see any improvements.

He is in great shape physically but not between the ears. He may just not have it at this level.

from what ive always heard, Mike trains extremely hard, and doesnt mess around, maybe he could change up his program a bit, but i dont think its from lack of effort.

it may not be structured to produce correctly on the race course
.maybe he is overtraing at the wrong times?i dont know, but if he structured his training correctly for moto/sx he would be a freaking bull in the final laps.

Oh man, coffee out the nose! Can you imagine him trying to tee off with Tony coaching him the whole time? Or yelling at him from the golf cart while he's putting? Laughing

Mikey was the man in the amauters, his pro career has been a different story. I think he needs to accept that maybe hes a 4-7 guy at this point of his career.

X2. Maybe his best is what we are seeing. Seems to be the theme from the last 6 years?

So stating the truth and what has happened and what he has done is bagging on him. Ok, I thought we were having a conversation on what a guy is doing on a proffesional level. So how about you STFU and just pick another ass kissing thread and stay there.

honestly, what makes a vet. pro racer that timid in that sand whoop section.as in regular sx whoops as well.
bike setup?he looses alot of speed in them.maybe he should hire travis pastrana for whoops training.

I think if he didn't have such a hard crash in practice and had Metcalfes Factory bike he would have done much better. He is definitely a better Outdoor rider also.

i really wish he would skip supercross and just save it for the outdoors.

its no secret hes the modern day greg albertyn and doesnt gell with Supercross. He's vocal about his disproval for it as well.

Sorry to say that Mike's window appears to be closed, and the injury or program or whatever really don't matter. There's too many guys riding better with better support and programs, and more coming along. Hope he can recapture his consistency and speed, but I don't see him on the box without someone else making mistakes.

I am not an Allessi fan, I like Jeff but Mike I never really cared for....but I was starting too since he was going out on his own and back on a Suzuki and seemed to be on the right path. But after lastnights episode I lost what little respect I had for that clown. I was in awe watching that last race lastnight, he was riding like a complete idiot and then getting pissed at Dungey, flipping him off, etc..... what a chump!

All riders suffer from Injuries it's part of our sport. If he's not ready to come back THEN DON'T RACE. This quote comes from a guy who buys a clapped out roach from a pawn shop. And then shoes it off to the world. Hey knobbybrain bring that roach out to Cali, so we can RIDE ! Really want to see YOUR skills .

Mike needs a ride in the GPs. He's an outdoor specialist anyway, he needs a change of scenery hopefully away from Tony, he needs a new start, and he'd probably do pretty good. He won't beat Cairolli, Nagl or DeSalle, but he could beat most of the other guys, and he could get back in the groove.

More talent!! The new more aggressive Mike Alessi on the RMZ looked just like the guy that raced the KTM this summer. Mike can't even blame the bike since Dungey had a awesome night last night.

Mike's window has slammed shut. He is screwed from all angles.
