A few months back my brother was at a vintage race in Southern Oregon. The race promoter for that one round got on the PA at some point during the race and was talking to the crowd saying that his good sources (I know, I know) confirmed Brayton to Honda along with MM, he confirmed Rockstar and Makita leaving Suzuki and that it would be Yosh Suzuki with Stewart pretty much a done deal. He said a few other things that also came true, the only one that lingers on is the JBS to Suzuki......

I like the hell our of Metcalfe but they need another rider under the tent. To just go out all year with one dude to me would be the writing on the wall that they will pull out much like Yamaha did. I hope that Bubba goes to Yosh Suzuki, to me it is 10x better bike than that Yamaturd. Hell, I would choose KTM over Yamaha any day.....

If bubbles doesn't end up on Suzuki then it will be very interesting to see who they pick up as a #2 rider.....

hehe. I actually liked my 2010 Yamaha a lot. More than BigdaddyG's KX....until last weekend. I rode a 2011 YZF450....and hated that damn thing. I guess it's all in the setup. It didn't feel anything like my 2010. BUT.....oh man.........I rode that 2011 RMZ450....and really liked that SOB! I may be going yellow next year.

Listen to Pulp's podcast with Josh Coppins about the YZ450. Very interesting comments about how much work goes into setting up the blue ones.

One thing I read about those 2011 YZF450's was that on the stock bikes the weight to each wheel is exactly the same (the weight is evenly distributed to the front and rear wheel). I guess that is why some guys dont like them...or have trouble riding them(handling wise). I wonder if they have done anything different for 2012?

is this a 1 rider Team or is Metty the only confirmed rider ? also is this the 250F effort too or is that another Team ?

Any news of a Team is good, lots of people need Jobs.
I guess you didn't read it all the way through.

"...In addition to Metty, we’re also actively pursuing a second rider, which would really help round out our team. We definitely have a lot to look forward to in 2012.”

The 250 effort is the same Rockstar Energy Suzuki team from last year.

why don't they just grab mikey?...if the shoe fits?

"the metty and mikey show" ..........has a ring to it .....no?...although neither top5 in SX could be a problem.

the metty and bubbles show just doesn't do it for me.....................

So if James signs with JGR....he's on the blue bike again. What the hell was all the testing being done on the Suzukis for then? This shit doesn't make any sense. There have been quite a few guys ( 1 that said he was even there to see it with his own eyes) that JGR was doing the Suzuki thing.......Now Coy says they have stayed with the Yamahas......my head is going to explode.

Ok man....
Early last summer late spring it was rumored that L&M was going to be on Suzukis in 2012.
Everyone said that James was riding a Suzuki....the L&M team fell a part (San Manuel pulled out),everyone went their separate ways.
(I know James had a personal contract with Yamaha-have no clue what happened there and how Suzuki came into the picture - all I know is the rumors I stated)

Once the season was up and everyone was able to negotiate....
I think JGR tinkered around with some deals that were on the table with more then one manufacturer.
In the end, they decided to go with Yamaha again.
There was prolly talk with James far before that. Wink

James rode the JGR bike before I believe and liked it.
Coy went down there this week/Monday because he wanted to test on it more.
I think they want him very bad... Wink
Just a guess but, they probably may have more to offer him then Factory Suzuki.
I am going to continue to say this, and we will never hear otherwise of course, but it makes sense. If he ends up back on a Yamaha, then that tells me that this Yamaha contract he thought he was out of is still very much in effect. There is no other logical explanation.....as if Yamaha with JGR is going to be better than Yamaha he had last year? Guess what else......he liked THAT bike when he wasn't getting beat in competition too. He likes the JGR bike? We saw videos of him pre-2011 stating how awesome his bike was and how much ass he was going to kick. I think James back on Yamaha in 2012 is a very telling situation.

Adding to your point, lets also not forget the great years James has had with Jeremy Albrecht who is now at JGR, maybe he wants to be part of Jeremys program even if it is still on Blue?

Make of it what you will, but JGR's MX related site is down for "maintenance".
