I started racing an RM80 in 1980 and, after a couple of years off here and there, still get out for a run in the vet class. Claim to fame is a New Zealand Vet MX title in 1997 plus a few regional wins. Have moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast, Queensland!

Josh Coppins will make his Yamaha debut on his 'home' track near Motueka this weekend in the first round of the New Zealand Supercross Championships. Defending champ Scott Columb, of Queenstown, is keen to defend his titles, but he is still recovering from a crash in November. Cool

I turned 45 last month, so can now race the over 45 champs! Started racing in 1980 and after giving up serveral times, returned with a vengence in the late 90s. Raced the New Zealand Nationals and won a NZ Vet class title, plus some regional vet class stuff. Last raced the NZ Nats in 2001 at 35yrs in 125...

Wow. Second rider? Assuming James does sign with JGR (maybe, mabe not). Who would they grab as their number 2? I assumed (wrongly) that they would just run with Metty. Then, If Rockstar did do the 22 thing, does that give Chad enough $$$ to grab his second rider too? Crazy, crazy stuff this year.

BT101 on the PC450 for Vegas only. I heard he likes the Hondas, hence the CR22 or MC/LB idea. Just a hunch really. He may like the 2012 KXF better than the 2011 and PC may front him for the outdoors. Either way I hope he stays, races and stays healthy.

You lose raw speed, but gain in other areas. You ride smarter. I rode the nationals down under in 1998 aged 32 on 250s and then rode 125s in 2001 aged 35. I was fast enough in 1998, but crashed trying in 2001. I was at the pointy end in national vet class races though. Its amazing how quickly it...

I've been reading MXA since 1980 and still love it. I get the email subscription now though. Their bike and parts tests are the best. I still buy RacerX too though, for their racing/behind the scenes/what's going on stuff. Both mags are top notch for different reasons.
