Really nice work MXM!

This was my very first bike bought in 1996 for £500 (by my parents), and as such I've always kept it and have been doing it up off and on for the last couple of years as a fun project. Suffice to say I almost wish I hadn't looked in this thread because I doubt I can get my one anywhere near as good as the examples in here!

Just absolutely amazing work! Will try and copy the best I can.

Once again MXM, great work! I've referred to your 87 KX build pictures numerous times for visual help with misc parts placement with my 87 KX 250.

Another stand up job MXM! That baby looks showroom new!! Those bikes bring back a lot of great memories! The '87 YZ's where pretty good looking bikes...but I was always partial to my KX! Here is a pick I have of me on my '87 KX125 leading my buddy Ben Anderson on the '87 YZ125 back in the day....great times!!

I love the look of that Mag4 helmet with the TLD peak visor and the Scott Venturi mask. I could not use Scotts, so I rocked the Oakley/Jofa look with an open face Arai and TLD visor which was still badass. I would like to see more semi-resto jobs used for racing of these great bikes, if anyone agrees, let's see some. When I start on my 95 CR250 or my 95 RM125 or my 1981 CR125 or my 1989 YZ250 that have been in the same spots in the garage for the last few years, I will list something.

The CR is the build I'm looking forward to! It was one of my favorite all time bikes back in the day. I remember the 1st time I saw the ad. A mechanic was backing it down an aluminum ramp out of a box truck. When I saw it, I had to have one!
MXM your work is amazing!

Yep that's the ad!! I guess my memory isn't as bad as I thought it was lol. That particular ad spoke volumes to how dominant Honda was.

MXM- (serious questions)
What are you doing with these bikes when you have them done? Just put them in the corner of your garage, or house, or are you starting some kind of moto exhibit? Regardless of your answer, you've done an amazing job.
Someday, maybe when my kids are grown up, I'd really like to find an '85 YZ80 and restore just as you've done. That bike is special to me as it was my first bike I raced. Again, good job!

Nice work. I'm part way through doing an '86 YZ125 and would be very happy if mine ended up half as good as yours. I rode mainly Hondas through the 80s, but in '87 went to the KX125, which was complete rubbish after the '86 CR125. Just to show I had no idea, I rode the RM125 in '88. And THAT was really crappy.
