President George W. Bush signed into law the No Child Left Behind Act on Jan8th 2002.
That is also R Kelly's birthday along with Andy Woods birthday (the guy Candle Box wrote the song Far behind about ) and also Elvis's birthday along with David Bowie. Also in 1867 on Jan 8th African American men were granted the right to vote in Washington, D.C.On Jan 8th 1912 the African National Congress was founded also.
Those are 7 great things that happened on Jan 8th,so maybe that is why he was talking about Jan 8th and why he chose the #7.
Especially coming from one of those Yamahas. The handling and control of the RMZ is probably on a whole nother level.

Agrees about Stewart and Carmichael, but the list is about current 450 riders....
I don't see how you don't at least acknowledge the guy and then punt on it because he hasn't ridden outdoors for a couple years.
He also doesn't mention Canard at all, but includes Barcia.
I'll throw this out in the new thread as well.
Pit Row
I also believe JT$ posted that James has been riding a Suzuki for a while now, that it is no secret.
So I guess the only thing to confirm is.....it's possible it could be a done deal by this Friday.
Him moving to Suzuki (if indeed that occurs) will not stop his high risk riding, its in his DNA, and it is what his fans love and his rivals hate....and given his competition in 2012 I doubt he will adopt a smoother, less riskier but still wining style, the others are too close to his level to allow that.
His rivals hate it and his fans love it if the risk pays off or his fans hate is and his rivals love it when he crashes, no one wins when he takes out other riders in the process (if that happens, and it deosnt happen everytime).
You can see why the cameras follow him, they want to either see him win or watch him crash....
him...
BMan-
He's typically much faster than everyone else (except when he was racing Ricky of course), and it isn't because of "risk taking".
The guy went 24/0 in the Nats, and decimated the entire field week after week. If you see him race live, just once, you'll know what I'm talking about. He's not the "out of control nut-job" that alot of the couch racers here try to make him out to be. He's actually just that fast.
Now, as to why the last couple of seasons haven't gone so good for him? We all have our theories I suppose, but all the crashing of the last supercross series was not and is not typical of James (and I don't give a shit how much old footage you guys pull out. Spare us, I think we've seen it all). I don't ever recall him crashing so often as he did last season. The haters will do their compilations of spectacular crashes, but keep in mind it spans multiple seasons when they do.
Personally, I think skipping the Nats was the worst "race" decision he's made. The other boys were in race shape, James wasn't. But I'm not James, and the decision might have been one he considers the best personally. Who knows?
Either way, he's damn fast!
I must admit I did not say last year in my comments as that was what I was referring to, not the previous seasons where he had less competition and a twilight career of RC.
The dude raced Ricky, tooth and nail. Won some, lost some, but no one else was even close to them. And no, that wasn't the twilight of Ricky's career, more the pinnacle. I watched the two go at it live, and it was absolutely ridiculous how fast they were going. There was no stiffer competition than Ricky, and James raced him over and over without crashing his brains out trying to catch him.
But with that, I agree James seemed unprepared for just how good the current batch of kids were. Not because he couldn't handle the competition, but because he hadn't raced all summer. I still contend that if he'd raced them in the previous National series, there would've been an entirely different outcome last supercross season. I think the surprise was only because James was out of "race shape", not because he hasn't or couldn't deal with the new breed of competition. He's dealt with racing the best his entire career, and they don't come any faster than Ricky.
