Does Goose have a special deal with Suzuki where he does not go to Cali to work in the race shop during the week? I swear I read/heard somewhere that he lives in Idaho and just goes to the races on the weekends and only goes to California when they need to work on testing.

Or it could be too late at night and I am hallucinating about all that.
I heard or read that also. Might have been on the telecast.

Every year has been a 1 year deal between JGR and Yamaha, they want a multi year deal with whoever

You think??? Once a master wrench, like Goose, you can work on anything, just have to get familiar, first. Plus, he knows how Honda's are put together, what size fasteners, etc. That doesn't change.

Per Reed's PR (Twitter), they've hired a 2nd wrench which, to me, means Lars is still TwoTwo and not replaced.
Also said they now need to get a 2nd rider. He's hinted at Alessi but also others.
Also replied to Dungey on TwoTwo question "no, he's already signed, sealed and delivered."
His tweet didn't say 'No"...it just said he was signed , sealed, and delivered"

And that's only speculation at this point because if he pulls out this championship somehow, Suzuki will still have Right of First Refusal on RD. Its standard practice on contracts.

The only people that really know are the ones directly involved. Shit just last week Matthes said Mookie was signed with Star, then last night he said he was going to JGR.

He didn't say JGR... it's the KTM team, JDR.

Dungey is signed and its not with Reed nor Suzuki. Mockie is signed with Start, JStarthat is which is also JDR KTM. JGR to Suzuki is far from done, they want multiple years and are going with who gives it to them

JGR is tired of getting L&Ms left overs.

What are the odds Chad doesn't even race?? Reason Im asking is I mean the guy did take one of the gnarliest crashes of all time AND hasn't been close to a win since (reasonably so, dont get me wrong)...It's possible that Chad may NEVER want to hang it out enough to win again...what are the odds of him owning the team with larger amounts of help with Alessi/Lars and Dungey/Goose...I know this is a big what if...but if Reed signs anohter rider Id rather see dungey than Alessi, even though I like them both. Regardless of "how great the KTM is" Im not convinced.

While Dungey was waiting for his bike and everyone else was going to the gates Reed said to Dungey "This wont happen next year with us..." Tongue

EDIT: also this is Chad's 10th year racing in America '02-'11...now a title would have been a nicer way to go out, but still.. 10 years is a long time...plus he has openly said he makes his money off his investments and racing is now just a hobby. Having a wife AND a baby boy means he has a lot more to think about out on the track.

Left overs?????????????????????????? Have you seen their operation? They had a bike that could contend on the first year.

Money... boils down to money. Yamaha drops the bag on this team... they screwed up bad.

Left overs, meaning they are tired of being second fiddle, because thats what they are to L&M.

What's the deal there? Stewart bought the assets of the team, but not the team.....meaning contracts and such? Or is it still top secret?

Does Stewie want 5 million and won't ride a Yamaha? Would Red Bull pay the 5 mill for him to go to a JGR Suzuki but there's a Muscle Milk issue and Yamaha wants to now give JGR factory bikes and works goodies? Will there be a JS7 Red Bull Suzuki? Reed and Suzuki are a wrap now, right?

I think metty could be the second rider
If factory Suzuki is getting out of racing and metty has one year left wouldn't they just pay for metty to race under the team twotwo and the reedy gets a rider for free. Instead of Suzuki hanging around for a year just to uphold metty's contract
that's if twotwo is going to Suzuki of course

I don't think Reed is at a point where he is ready to hang it up yet. He's still a top 5 guy. Especially after an awesome start to the season, I think he still has the hunger. Eventually I think he'll retire and just run and coach a team of guys but as for next year, I would be VERY surprised if he decided it was best for him to sit racing out. He would just be bored watching.
