Even at that Dungey fans could bite the bullet and say that Dungey was pretty lucky that Pourcel DNFed and Pourcel was robbed. I'd say the same about RV; he's lucky that Dungey had a DNF because if not for that DNF, all else being equal, Dungey would be going into the final race with a 12 point lead. Good luck getting the RV nuthuggers here to admit it though. In a few years, they'll rewrite history and talk about how he dominated the 2011 Nats.
I for one am, should be interesting to see what this new bike is.

Maybe they are using the new lighweight (diecast) enduro cases with the current SX topend?
Fingers crossed

Has nothing to do with being an RV fan my friend.
1) Traction Control - KTM is behind in this area. they are the newest to EFI and will be behind HRC/Kawi/Zook. this is the future and a major factor in results this year. its motogp circa 2006+. over the next few years, its whoever can master the electronics that will have a major equipment advantage. Kawi has a huge head start.
tires dont matter as there arent really any "worx" tires at the moment. so take that out of the equation.
2) Suspension - between the other factory teams, its all six and one-half dozen of the other. the worx stuff is good for at least a second a lap. and at least a half second over the A kit stuff. WP has always been behind in this area. KTM will have to spend some major coin on development to get their stuff up to par with the worx kyb and worx/a-kit showa stuff at this level. but if anyone is willing to put the work in, its dungey. and if anyone can provide the infrastructure, its decoster and ktm.
which brings me to my final point. since decoster has come on board, they have completely revamped their american program in an effort to get it on par with the european tech they run. it wont happen over nite, but eventually, i see no real reason why decoster wont have the ktm america program on level with their gp program. and eventually on par with the american efforts of both HRC and Kawi.
KTM, decoster, and the dunge have their work cut out for them. but if anyone has the budget, know-how, and work ethic to get the job done......its the three parties involved. its a dream team to be honest. ktm will win everything in 2013 imo. and then begin a long run of dominance. i expect some growing pains next year, but from then on, ktm will be a force to be reckoned with.
