Max can be funny in interviews but also comes across as very cocky...though not sure if he is kidding around or serious lol
I think he expected a lot more during his GP season like he was coming over to run with Roczen and Herlings..but they have improved alot by not going to the US compared to him, and I think he has been a little shocked at adapting to the GP scene and the speed of the riders, travel and variety of tracks and countries, going by a recent interview. But he has been getting it together lately, running top five.
However, I certainly expected his speed to be better at the British GP, although allowances have to be given for his poor start positions... he is(was) in a very very good team though, and at his age Tommy was winning GPs and challenging for world titles, Max hasn't made a GP podium yet, and Tommy did that in his first year at 16 on a non factory team, while Dean is doing the same in the US. Max had the equipment and has the self confidence, bordering on overconfidence, and a lot of hype compared to other UK riders but I think it is time he backed up what he says he will do imo.
I think what Tommy said about him in Moto magazine is maybe accurate. He hasn't grown up yet. He has the potential to be a champion and title challenger, he has lived everywhere and has had everything he needs, including a great team, and is good for the press, but he is struggling to put it together week in week out. Maybe Merv is hindering or maybe max needs to change something. He has the ability but hasn't quite been a front runner like his ability suggests he should.

That's really going to affect him in the whoops, I have a feeling.

"I love all the rumors and like Bubba said not to long ago on Twitter...I love how people think they know what is going on in my life before I even do! The truth is ol' Max is going to be just fine. And by the way to all you know-it-all's out there, I wouldn't be where I am without my pops, in fact, he doesn't give himself enough credit for all the help he has given to me and still does."
There was sort of a PR that said Cairoli is stayning in the gp's 2012. No such thing regarding Max/CLS
I have no inside info at all, just a feeling so there's no reason till hate me if I'm wrong, and I can't say I told you so if I'm right.
I just had two minutes two spare, now they are over =)
