I don't have any CMC number sheets (and no results) from the 70s.
I would really like to have copies of the top 100 from 1974 and 1975 if anyone has them. Please.....somebody!!!!

I don't know if you remember me, but we used to talk all the time at Saddleback when you were riding the Bulltaco & I had my Penton.

I was riding 250 jr, we used to joke about your using Dancing as your workout...LOl

I just talked with Stu Peters and he is going to try and dig up his old results sheets so I can scan them. I will post some here, although they end up so small they are hard to read. I will also host higher resolution copies on the web and supply links so all the old CMC'ers can download and print them.

Howard, yes, I do remember you very well. Dancing days.......mostly at Knotts Berry Farm. It was a good workout (or so I told myself back then).

I wonder if anyone has thought about the idea of having a reunion event for CMC riders from the 70s? I think it would be great; it could be called the 1st Annual CMC 70s Bench Race!

OK, I got started scanning. The first installment is the booklet passed out at the CMC Hi-Performance Motocross Series in 1972. The booklet lists all the plate numbers that year. The link below is to a page that has thumbnails for each of the pages. The pages are flat versions that when printed double sided and assembled, will be in order. To save the Hi res versions on your local PC, left click on each thumbnail then right click on the large image and select "Save Picture As. . ."

Oh yeah, those sure were great times. I've been away from the sport since the late 1970's, and just recently got into watching the SX series the past few years... Man, compared to the dinosaurs we rode, the current bikes are just awesome. Dizzy It's sad that Saddleback or Carlsbad are not around anymore, Now, I do a lot of mountain biking, and I would love to ride the same courses we used to race on every week. Smile

Hey you guys need to hit my brother, Marc Peter's track out in Anza (Temecula area) he rebuilt the Carlsbad track, to the T, it's pretty cool ! His web site is theranchanzaca.com for more info.

That would be Tom Corley for Saddleback, don't remember if he also did Carlsbad.
