Well, I ran into him yesterday was I was doing a shoot on Long Island, NY. Seems to be doing well, besides throwing on a few pounds. He's been living on Long Island for over a year just taking it easy, trying to get a ride and some support, and was working with a young rider all day. After watching him yesterday, Ryan still knows how to twist that throttle and throw it flat as always. Him along with this year's Midwest Lites AX champion Dave Ginolfi and up and coming amateur Nick Desiderio were at a private riding facility near Calverton, NY and this place is pure heaven. Check out some favorite pics of mine from yesterday.

And oh yeah....AMAZING video coming soon sometime tomorrow!

Check out all the photos from Calverton at the link:

Millsy still knows how to flick it flat.

Put it this way....that place is a sand pit on steroids. 4-5 tracks....it's heaven to say the least. One corner of the property of it reminded me a mix of Glamis and Beaumont just with the sand berms and kickers up and over steep hills and ledges. The video I'm putting up tomorrow will make my photos look like crap hahahaha. Those were only from one of the tracks. They told me about going to Etown but I can't film/shoot on practice days there.

Woz, you should be allowed to shoot at Etown. That is lame! Why can't you film there? That one guy martyphoto wasn't there today.

Nastynotch, thanks man. I'll keep that in mind...

Marty Photo (or whoever it is) is the exclusive media guy there, which means no one is allowed on the track to shoot photos/video other than him. Plus add on insurance reasons and there ya go. Race days are no problem for me....just practice days is where I can't get on. Plus the practice track gives me the chills since I nearly died there haha. It's lame I know but just go to Blue Diamond instead for open practice. Smile Much closer for me and they are open Wed.-Sun. for practice and I can film, take pics, and basically do what I want there!

Mills was (is) no joke. Not sure how he got derailled.

2nd to Stewart in the Am's. and such a great rookie. A moto win here, a SX top 5 there. But also an injury here, a broke bike there and then a loss of support.

Millsy needs to make another go of it at the east coast rounds. (MX)

Marty got his panties all bunched last year or year before when another guy was selling photos.

Marty is a shitty MX photog....he never rode. An ex-cop from the area with a nice side business. Ski and now E Town.

You'll never see a peg draggin from Marty in a magazine. He only shoots "straight at's "and "heel clickers"......

I ain't hatin, jus' sayin'

Keep up the good work Woz.

Nice stuff Matt.
Can't wait for the video.

My son and I used to catch Ryan here in New England from time to time when he was running am stuff.
I was surprised that he didn't end up with a little higher profile in the sport but it is nice to see him still ripping.

Mills is the kid that had the Honda ride when Grant, Tommy Hahn and whoever else in the '06 or '07 years, wasn't it?

Very good, solid Lites rider from what I remember.

Yeah he rode for FC, then he went to rockstar suzuki with Lawrence. Then went to Europe and then put on a hell of a ride as a 450 privateer back here

Yeah he was.

I think that track is open to members on certain days. I'll get the scoop on it, and let you know what's up with the gnarness.

mills won at LL and then got a ride for FC. he was there for a few years and moved on to Factory KTM. He won a moto at REd Budd for KTM and then was released from his contract. He rode for Rockstar suzuki with Lawrence and Brown during 05 I think it was. They had major bike problems with the 250f's. He did score a podium on a 450 at Steel city with RC and James that same year. The kid can ride and I dont think his speed was ever the question.

Why does that make me a dick? I saw on twitter that he had gotten arrested, did a google search to see more about him, and this thread was the first thing to show up on that search. I bumped it to the front after seeing people talk about what he was up to, and I thought it was relevant to the conversation that was going to unfold about him today.

Talk about sensitive. You clowns had a 20 page thread on JS getting arrested...

I think the "dick" is the guy going around and stealing peoples shit. Although I am hoping that Ryan is exonerated of this.

Didn't he get busted for stealing a motorcycle a while back?
And someone defended him saying he wasn't stealing it, because it was his own bike?

Brothers' lost dog tale was pretext to break-ins, Plattekill police say

PLATTEKILL — Two brothers are in jail after they used a lost dog story as a cover for a string of residential burglaries in the town, authorities said.

Town of Plattekill police arrested Aaron Mills, 20, and Ryan Mills, 24, both of Plattekill, on Thursday. Aaron Mills was charged with five counts of burglary, a felony; Ryan Mills was charged with two counts.

Police said the two, working together, knocked on doors on a pretext of looking for their missing dog. If no one answered, the duo kicked in doors and stole jewelry and electronics, police said.

Their luck finally ran out when Aaron accidentally dropped a photo of Ryan, posing with the dog, at a home on Orchard Drive that they had burglarized. The homeowner turned the photo over to the investigating officer, who quickly identified Ryan, according to police.

Police said they recovered much of the stolen property from a pawn shop in Newburgh and a pond in Plattekill.

The Mills brothers were arraigned and sent to the Ulster County Jail — Aaron on $15,000 cash bail and Ryan on $5,000 cash bail. Both remained incarcerated Sunday. Further charges are pending, according to Plattekill Police Chief Joseph Ryan.
