Musquin's last to sixth was impressive, Baggetts first overall and his raw speed was amazing.

And Reed passes both RV and Dungey to win the Overall for the second year in a row and further solidifying his status as a legend of the sport.

Hard to choose, I think I will go with Reed though- brand new bike, limited testing, never even rode a 30minute moto this year and comes out and wins against America's two best outdoor riders!

Reed was great but I would guess the "never rode a 30 minute moto" quote was the start of some mind games with the competition.

I would vote for Baggett as rider of the day based on his lousy starts in both motos and his lap times the last two laps of moto one

Definitely Baggett and Reed, seems obvious considering they both took the overall in their respective classes, but it didn't come easy for either of them. Both proved to have the speed and pace over the entire 30 minute moto's.

Musquins 2nd moto must of been awesome to see as well. Going down in the first corner and all the way back up to 6th........that is impressive!

Overall.......I think quite a few guys put in some awesome rides yesterday. Gonna be a great year........and get better and better each and every week!

Windham grabbing the holeshot in moto one and leading six laps was pretty cool to see.

Musquin's last to sixth charge was impressive. He looked a lot better at Hangtown than at the USGP.

My pick would be Reed. Coming from behind to pass Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey on a track that he doesn't particularly like? That was awesome.

Lets see, Musquin is last years world champion racing in a lowly nationals race. He is naturally expected to win, but he didn't, He doesn't get my vote. Reed, now how many years has he been racing? He won the AMA motocross championship 2 years ago (even though Stewart and Carmichael were not racing) He is expected to beat 2 sophomore 450 American rider, neither with over 2 years of 450 motocross experience. He doesn't get my vote either. Blake Bagget comes out of nowhere and beat all the riders that were expect to win including a former "world" champ (Tyla Rattray) and last years world champ (Musquin). Musquin did well even though he crashed. Blake Bagged everyone, and gets my vote hands down.

I go with Baggett as well. His 4th National ever, badly broken arm last year, and falling in the first moto and still coming back for 2nd. 2nd moto was a freaking statement.

Just realized Baggett fell back to 11th on lap 6. So in 10 laps he passed all but one and closed up on that leader. Thought he would be up there but not like this. Impressive.

LOL! I posted it as a suggestion for a new avatar for Carlos. As he is obviously quite patriotic.

Me, I'm a fan of most of the guys out there on the track, regardless of where they come from.

I saw Baggett crash in the first moto and thought damn there goes his day, and damn did he prove me wrong. Winner for sure, almost based on 1st moto alone.

If Stewart was out there and won the 450 class and Roczen won the 250 class with only 4 races under his belt the euros would go into a feeding frenzy and tell everyone Roczen is god And there could be no other rider of the day or year, only Roczen
5/22/2011 10:16pm
Ricky Dietrich or however you spell it. That guy charged his ass off both motos.

Bagget did kill, it but Marvin Musquin charged from the back into 6th place. Obviously, this is an RC hard charger award, but I don't think we've seen the best from MM.

To many good rides today, hard to choose

Bagget/Windham
Reed /Dungey
MM/Dietrick

Take your pick
5/23/2011 12:56am
Musquin plain n simple.

the 450 race was much better in my opinion, I usually think the 250 class is more exciting but not this one.

cannot wait for this weekend !!

Have never been much of a Reed fan but his ability to put a team together and his ability to pick up speed is pretty hard not to appreciate. I would have liked to hear the conversation between him and Dungy on the podium, looked interesting.
