never ever seen the speed on a dirt bike quite like james stewart. unbelievable speed on a scooter and if you didn't see it with your own two eyes you might not have believed it. i personally thought he would dominate for years as did most of you. still a great career and nothing to be ashamed about. good luck james in your future endeavors and whatever it s that is wrong with you i hope you get it sorted out.

The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
at 25 yrs old with millions in the bank he is not willing to do the work required to race at this level without breaking yer neck and shitting in a bag for the rest of yer life.
he didn't do what aldon wanted him to do and every time aldon packed his bags james threw more money at him. then it would happen again. 250000 dollars and 2 months work for aldon though...not bad
I dont get this "punishing SX shedule" people claim! They race a heat 8 laps and a 20 lap main. Most tracks have been under 1min lap times, some mains as short as 14-15 mins.
That's 17 events x say average of 25 min total racing per night = 7hours 8 min all season over 4 1/2 months, even less if you race a west or east coast lites series which are only 15 laps and half the amount of mains.
Okay they have practice etc, but they knocked off Friday practice, so really these pro's aren't doing a lot of actual racing.
What about guys who race a 3hr GNCC or Worcs event or a timecard enduro??
I know the intensity of Sx is a lot higher but when you sit down & weigh up the total hrs spent racing it's not a marathon season. on.
This past weekend a commentator said at FA CUp final (Soccer) that Toure, who scored winning goal for Manchester City was on £120,000 a week, approx $200,000 US dollars.
If James is nailing down the reported $10 Million a year from sponsors, that works out at $23,809 a minute for the approx time he is racing during a SX season.
No wonder he just plays at this sport!
Maybe it's over?
I call bull shit on that silly boy.
I wish him the best, but James should seriously step back and consider making some changes to himself, his program, and those he surrounds himself with.
I'm glad I got to see him do this thing. I feel a little sorry for those who weren't able to...
Stewart will be back, next year or possibly this summer sometime
James cant quit he has too many employees , that depend on him
"Everyone witnessed the way I struggled during the Supercross series this year and while I’d like to race this weekend, we just aren’t ready. I hope fans will understand. The decision has been very hard to make, but we won’t race till we’re ready."
Pit Row
its smart to be safe at this point.
thanks for the ride.
But if the dude takes a major injury in SX next year like a broken bone.
Its all over.
As much as I hate to say it, I think James will go down as the biggest "could have been" next to Travis Pastrana. I think it really all boils down to his SX only crap. James swept the outdoors, came back and dominated supercross, and then it all went downhill from there. He didn't have actual race time when it came to the 2010 championship, and ultimately crashed out of that series. Then, again, skipped the outdoors and returned to the 2011 supercross and looked worse than I've ever seen him. He's now proceeding to further shoot himself in the foot and dig the hole a little deeper by skipping out on outdoors once again.
While his competition is staying in race mode and continuing to get stronger, James is pounding out laps on his test track. That's all fine and dandy in theory, except everyone knows that there's only so much practice you can do until you actually have to race to stay sharp. James needs gate time that he's robbing himself of.
In his little website PR, he states that he's sorry for letting the fans down. That's nice of him. But really, he's letting himself down - he's only hurting his own career by sitting on the sidelines and letting these other guys get closer to him.
I'm fully aware that it's his life and he can do with it what he wishes. That's not what I'm saying though - he absolutely has the right to do whatever he wants, but skipping outdoors is only hurting him and he's a fool if he doesn't see that.
That will be his day of reckoning.
Seriously....think about this for a second. Nascar hired RC not only because of his name , but they got him on board because of his heart and desire to win.....at anything he puts his mind to. I'll guarantee , that "IF" James decides he wants to race cars in the future....he won't get jack shit compared to what RC is getting. No motor sports team is going to fork over millions of dollars to someone who doesn't at least have the desire to win.
Don't get me wrong....James "Does" want to win......he is just to fucking lazy to accomplish it any more.( wants to win , but no work ethic....puts you on the ground! ) He lost a lot of his drive I think shortly after RC retired. Bottom line.....to much money = laziness.....plain and simple!
I think he'll race this next SX season....but if he doesn't win it , or comes to the 1/2 way point and is behind quite a few points....he'll quit early......and then we can stick a fork in it.
He had a "Good" carreer for his abilities....but was made for "Greatness".
All this crap about the Yamaha being a bad bike is horse shit. Any of todays modern bikes can be setup fantastically for any rider. The rider just must be able to accurately relay back what he is looking for.
By James racing the outdoors on his Yami he would gain valuable seat time developing the bike for the outdoors and learning more about it. Come Supercross season James would have a better overall setup and be able to achieve a better SX setup then the previous years. Dialing in a new bike takes time. James spent years on the Kawasaki's. To jump ship now would be another bad move.
Remember when Ivan left Suzuki (where he was consistenly running 4th in his rookie 450 SX season) and went to Honda? I could swear he lost the swag in his riding style. He used to whip and scrub much harder and had much more overall style. It looks like it is coming back now in his H&H Kawi though which I would not think is coincidental. Ivan rode the same way for the PC team before moving to Suzuki. Now he is back with PC in the form on H&H. And I just went off topic.
As for NASCAR, RC was hired also for his involvement with Monster. He brought a big name sponsor with him and is pals with lots of insiders. One thing James has, and props for not thinking this way, but he is African-American. If he goes to NASCAR, that is going to bring all kinds of exposure to the sport, if not for the wrong reason but it still will. Once again, look at Tiger Woods. If Tiger is white, he's just another great golfer. But being of his ethnic background, tons of people who don't give a shit about golf now watch just to see him stick it to the white boys out there. They don't even watch if he isn't close to or leading! And if he isn't at the event, the ratings go to shit.
Now with NASCAR being considered way "neckier" than golf, people will love to see the supposed squirming that they expect to take place with someone other than a white guy being out there. James will be a huge draw if he decides to go to NASCAR, and if he can do anything out there he'll make ridiculous amounts of money and he won't have to pay the same dues as RC is. Look at Pastrana. In a few months, he is supposed to enter his first Nationwide series race. It took RC a couple of years of lower level racing before they would even let him enter a truck race. Pastrana 's going Nationwide after just a few months.

But, whatever really. Pourcel, Pourcel!!
